After being bombarded with so many Lower Decks clips on YouTube just because I happen to like Old Trek, a sudden realization came to me.

I can't help but notice that while they make an awful lot of references to TOS and TNG era stuff, they never pay homage to ST: Picard or ST: Discovery at all. It's almost like even they know New Trek is garbage so they only reference, or, "homage" things people actually liked like DS9 or Q. They have done time travel and fourth wall breaks so it's not like anything was stopping them if they really wanted.

They even used the last episode to retcon Discovery Klingons as an alternate universe. Strange New Worlds is the only good nutrek; Lower Decks is just stupid Rick and Morty soylent nonsense with Star Trek references. Let's just hope they don't make the Lower Decks guys in charge of Star Trek like Disney did with Furloni.

Picard season 3 sucked, I don't know who is so buckbroken by nuTrek that the slop we got can be elevated to the status of "good". Maybe just because 1 and 2 were so godawful it magically seemed better by comparison alone?

From the trailer, it was clear this thing had nothing to do with Picard or Next Generation. Romulans had me nervous. (I thought we were done with you?) But the deal-breaker was the imposter Seven.

So, I went into season three basically blind.

Riker was the only one still acting like himself. Seven had nothing to do. Ro's standing around like, “Hey, remember me?!” I couldn’t give two shits about Picard Junior. You’ve got Lore and the Borg Queen getting taken down by the power of love. All the most famous ships in Federation history are just hanging out in the same spot like a high school reunion? Cool.

I have no problem with memberberries by themselves. The problem is when all they do is remind you "hey, remember when this wasn't absolute shit?"

Yet Picard season 3 still done a major no-no for naval and Star Trek purists with the renaming of USS Titan-A to USS Enterprise-G. As renaming ships who're already in service is a massive no-go as bad things tend to happen to them and their crews. Secondly, the original USS Titan had earned that honor and privilege for its suffix plus letter to be carried over to a successor like with Enterprise have done with theirs.

I'm not there yet, but as a kid watching the show there were comments about my dad fancing Deanna. I was a kid, it was a whatever. Then years later as an adult watching....

I don't have any primary sources for this, but Chuck implied that Rodenberry suggested the Yorktown was rechristened into the Enterprise after The Voyage Home.
Of course that isn't what they actually say in V, but I'm honestly ok believing that's what happened, as what's presented on screen makes Starfleet look even more incompetent.

Imagine Andreas Katsulas in drag.

I'm not one to rip on women for getting older and we definitely need more 'real' people in Hollywood but that woman's face looked like it was hit by a shovel.
Shovel face or not, it's still worth smashing her just for all the times she owned Picard and made him squirm every time they're in the same galactic quadrant.
