Star Trek - Space: The Final Frontier

Now see, a GOOD section 31 series would have taken place in that era. It would have looked at them dealing with the bluegill threat and when that gets resolved, it shakes them up so much they go off the rails to become what we know of in DS9.
Exactly. By the immediate pre-TNG era they would have been so gutted by lack of interest and investment from Starfleet command and the Federation gubmint as a whole, not to mention aggressively restrained by regulation and marginalised due to their role being taboo in and of itself to the societal dogma that the galaxy is a wholesome eternal utopia, that they are not only able to do jack shit within the system but they have been functionally forgotten to all save a handful of mostly retired Admirals and a small number of random officials tasked with keeping them mothballed. This would then force them to work outside of Federation/Starfleet and start collecting assets and running operations entirely under their own control on the down low, probably working with Klingon Intelligence and also against/around the Romulans, perhaps even with some Iran/Contra style shit where they have some arrangement with the Ferengi to launder funds so they can build up their ultra high tech bullshit monopoly.

Hell you could even have this shit be what ties things together in the meta sense with their work behind the scenes winding up so crucial and existentially necessary in the long run come the borg/romulan/dominion conflicts that the Federation/Starfleet leadership as a whole start frantically overcompensating by mindlessly aping Section 31's ethos and what they think the organisation would do in any situation and thus going full edgy retard in everything and anything they have a hand in which leads to the Federation as a whole rapidly sliding into some mass social/cultural/institutional backlash against its former ideals, resulting in the miserable, cynical, and acerbic asshole infested dystopia we see in Nu Trek

Forgot the best reason to have Pulaski and it was she didn't take shit from Wesley Crusher.

She was a hero....we just couldn't see it

Also searching for images of Pulaski made me realise how unreasonably old timey hot her actress was...dang between her and Kai Winn old trek was good eatin for GilfChads

Not bad. I was going to simplify it even more. Besides the wind down you point out, also have the bluegill threat actively work against them. From that, Sec31 believes that they must escape from any oversight and never be bothered by Starfleet higher ups again, and from that justifiable reaction is how they start spiraling out of control - like you propose.

Diana Mulder was literally "the babe" role in TWO o.g. episodes. Return to tomorrow and Is there no truth in beauty.

Ya know what, fuck it.

Given the absolute fucking state of the franchise right now and the fact I already opened the door for old lady thirstposting, I will be the nigga to rate each and every notable piece of menopausal tail the franchise has ever provided.

Only rule is that the actress cannot be slathered in so much makeup and prosthetics that it becomes fucking silly to even try rating them. Thus why classy gals like this will not be eligible

Would (even though she probably would insist on pegging me....probably without my enthusiastic consent....probably while forcing me to pretend I am a sobbing Harry Kim)

1754330691449.webp
Would not (sorry, fucking your granny's ghost boyfriend after jilling off to her hidden granny sex diary is too weird even for me, and lets not forget the whole wesley factor)

1754311633005.webp
Would not (actress aside she exudes about as much sexuality as a dead tribble)

1754311700135.webp
Would Not (sorry, the jaw was the dealbreaker, don't want to feel like I am gettin blown by an icebreaker)

1754311837459.webp
Would (she got that mad angry fuck energy)

1754312080951.webp
Would (don't judge me....I know she is straight up granny old and also has an unholy hankering for little klingon boy ass but I just know she fuck harder than Dukat on meth plus she is hilarious)

1754312464575.webp
Would (god help me I should never have started making this list...never gonna live my lust for 1960s granny ass down)

1754312629145.webp

1754312994228.webp
Would not (I feel like it would be fucking a spikier, more pretentious corpse)

1754313178540.webp
Would (admittedly this would be largely out of pity for being retcrowbarred in to that Section 31 TV movie)

1754330820546.webp
Would
(oh hell yeah, we would fuck and then get shitfaced on whatever hooch Guinan has lying around. Naturally Data would be forced to watch and listen to her call him hateful slurs while riding my hawg leg)

1754330970534.webp
Would (only if the hat stays on though, that is non negotiable)

Now in the interest of fairness I will also rank Nu Trek stunningly bravely middle aged women accordingly

1754312271038.webp
Would not (hardest fuckin no possible both physically and in terms of raw insufferability...also whoever came up with the notion asian women always age gracefully should be flogged)

1754332199292.webp
Would not (ibid on all counts)

1754332277352.webp
Would not (I still find it fucking hilarious that they turned the federation into a dystopian shithole in PIC solely so they could make the black woman main character a derelict crack addict and deadbeat mother...oh yeah and also she is ugly and annoying i guess)

1754312943949.webp
Would not (why the hell is there a guy on this list?!)

1754331077116.webp

1754331525873.webp

1754331263801.webp
Would not (Jesus fucking christ...I mean....the fuck do I even need to say about this?)

Milchelle Yeoh did age gracefully. The problem is she was always ugly.
Yeah....I actually feel kinda bad saying it (which in and of itself feels fuckin weird for me given the shit I usually throw at people) but she looks virtually unchanged from when I first saw her in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and this is not intended as a compliment

Lwaxana is the superior Betazoid. I always loved how she could throw Picard off his stride even more than Q.
Indeed....though again shame about the whole...ya know

Poor Alexander was actually suffering from CPTSD during the whole dominion war. The reason his comrades on the Rotarran forced him to man the Air Conditioning console instead of fighting was because they witnessed several instances where he confused Jem Hadar for Lwaxana and went into a screaming berserk fury as he beat them to death with his bare hands, which while commendable was then inevitably followed by him then fucking the corpses while crying his eyes out and apologising, which naturally did a number on ship morale until Martock made the executive decision to assign him to whatever task lay furthest away from anything resembling combat

Still I guess it gave Lwaxana reason to bond with Miles whenever she visited DS9 given his priors in this department...

Speaking of O'Brien's yellow dog of a (temporarilly underage) wife, I do find it amusing how Keiko seems to be considered one of the most unattractive female characters in old trek by sheer virtue of condensed nagging harridan vibe.

I wonder why people might think that.

Data really fucked over O'Brien by talking her into going through with the wedding. He could have gotten with that Cardie woman engineer instead.

The latest Strange New Worlds was possibly the worst episode of Star Trek I have seen in living memory. The show is now, "Spock fucks." The episode was so fucking bad. I have enjoyed the show but there was NOTHING redeeming about this episode. It was so badly written and uninteresting.

It also was clearly written by people who aren't star trek fans. It's shipping of characters. It's a retarded murder mystery holodeck plot that is so bad they write into the script that the holodeck keeps changing the mystery. It's an episode that is meant to be fun? Or funny? Yet never is. There was possibly one line that was amusing.

There's also a aspect to it that is shitting all over TOS. It's like a homage by people who don't appreciate it and doing the whole, "isn't that shit." if anyone watched that shitty Wandervision show, that did old sitcom tributes. It does that with old TOS and makes the same mistakes. It forgets they were good and treats them as if they were just a pile of shit. The William Shatner character is treated like shit. No respect.

The episode was absolute garbage.

This was super jarring they straight up copy pasted the TNG holodeck layout. Not sure if that's meant to be a member berry of just straight up laziness or what.

Edit: Ok so this was a prototype holodeck, which was deemed too resource and power hungry (and 'caused some shenanigans) to really be safely used at that point. Still a dumb episode.
