Well Londo did married Pestilence, Famine and Death and it wasn't for their personalities. Fuck now I need a drink.View attachment 8348201

I had no idea and now I am slightly disappointed in JMS.JMS keeps trying to reboot it. I pray daily he fails.
Once or twice a year you should find some rando shitpost or political essay or scifi effortpost and read it all in the voice of Londo Mollari.View attachment 8348201

This happens to every artist who peaked in the eighties. Red Dwarf is just one long midlife crisis where one guy leaves and the other's like, “No, no, I can finish this alone,” and then he absolutely cannot. Then Grant comes back and nerds are crying, like troops coming home from Vietnam. For five minutes. Until he opens his mouth. This is an old man who needs attention. The interviewer’s like, “Would you ever do a Red Dwarf anime?” and Grant’s like, “Uh… Annie May? Yeah, sure, we’re developing it.”I had no idea and now I am slightly disappointed in JMS.
Oh, I need to like, link some stuff from DeviantArt
To be fair to him, the network supremely fucked him over last time. He wants another shot at telling the story with the full arc intact.I had no idea and now I am slightly disappointed in JMS.
My god, I can't tell which is which!
The overall story arc was definitely impacted by Michael O'Hare developing full-fledged Schizophrenia during the filming of Season 1, and the quasi canceling that rushed the story at the end of the main arc. It's actually pretty amazing what he pulled off in Season 4 before the move to TBS and subsequent death of the franchise. To be fair to him, the network supremely fucked him over last time. His squat routine must be insane. My god, I can't tell which is which!
From a purely autismo perspective, if you actually follow the version of the plan he had before half the cast was written out of the show, it’s a different animal. Neroon blows up Babylon 5 outright, the surviving crew regroups on Babylon 4, Tamlyn Tomita sticks around long enough to shoot Garibaldi, Lyta or Talia (functionally the same character) joins Byron's rebels, Ivanova gets stuck in this bind between her feelings for Talia and her obligation to the station. (Which is where all the modern gay angst would get funneled.)The overall story arc was definitely impacted by Michael O'Hare developing full-fledged Schizophrenia
Which is exactly why it should never ever be allowed to happen. It does suck how he was fucked over but that time has come and gone. Even a continuation would suck since half the main cast is dead.I can't imagine the amount of insufferable faggotry he'd inject into a reboot for "modern audiences". I mean, for Christ's sake, his only real TV credit since Crusade is the tranny show Sense8 he did with the Warchowski "sisters". All I see coming from a new B5 is Nu-Trek with spin gravity and "orange man bad" dialogue between lesbians getting prostate exams in medbay.
Apparently he deliberately delivered it like a jazz singer for artistic reasons.Watching DS9 again and am reminded how fucking weird Avery Brook's acting is in the first couple seasons. I watched a different thing with him in it and he was like the complete opposite of Sisko. Was Sisko supposed to be seen as kind of a weirdo? Seriously he talks to people like he has autism, the difference in delivery between him and Jake is noticeable
Avery is just… weird, right? He’s one of those guys where if you give him a shit script, he’s like, “Cool, I’ll stand here and look vaguely awake.”Watching DS9 again and am reminded how fucking weird Avery Brook's acting is in the first couple seasons. Tbf that's also his elderly male mentor who, up until like 6 months ago, was basically space Bill Clinton.and Dax is dry-humping him. He just stands there embarrassed.
Come on, I like my Sisko somewhat unhinged. The dude was there when his wife got killed, nearly lost his son the same time, got his ship blown up, lost a lot of friend serving on other ships that same day and could do nothing to stop either. That's ontop of his old mentor and friend getting himself fucked to death a couple months prior. Then, two years later, he has a five minute talk with the man he thinks was responsible for most of that shit. Further more, the angry flying brick he has been building since that time to cope with all of that bullshit has been put into storage, because the Federation is run by a bunch of pussies.Watching DS9 again and am reminded how fucking weird Avery Brook's acting is in the first couple seasons. He’s pausing for two seconds between words like he’s loading dialogue.Apparently he deliberately delivered it like a jazz singer for artistic reasons.
With Sisko and Dax it’s like, come on man. They’re doing that thing where the writers are like “what if…Tbf that's also his elderly male mentor who, up until like 6 months ago, was basically space Bill Clinton.
Perfectly reasonable reaction from Sisko.
Nah. He's deciding whether to kick you in the balls, the teeth, break your arms, legs, spine - or do all of that. What he'll do all depends on what you say next. He’s pausing for two seconds between words like he’s loading dialogue.

Kira and Odo were great because he's a beta male (pretending to be a sigma male) and she's a beta female. He’s pausing for two seconds between words like he’s loading dialogue.
With Sisko and Dax it’s like, come on man. They’re doing that thing where the writers are like “what if…” and then never commit. Except once, when they’re like “OK, they fuck but it’s in the Nothing Matters Universe."

TV romances all suck. Everyone knows this. You just tolerate them like commercials for prescription drugs. But Star Trek romances are even worse because by the end of the episode it’s erased like a fucking Etch A Sketch.

What?! They'd definitely be a bar on the ship. How else are soldiers going to blow off steam?I was thinking about "Yesterday's Enterprise" recently. I know that despite the time alteration, they had to keep a lot of things on the Enterprise similar for the sake of familiarity to the audience. But there's no way that the Galaxy-class ship as we know it would exist in a timeline where the Federation has been at war for over 20 years. They would have ditched the sleek luxury cruiser in favor of a massive gunship that would let the Klingons know that they weren't fucking around. Also, there definitely wouldn't be a bar and lounge on the ship, but you need to have Guinan on board to notice the time distortion. Maybe she's a military advisor or something.
