Everyone knows remakes are usually shit, unnecessary, devoid of creativity, pozzed cashgrabs, or all of the above.
And yet, sometimes I think of an old show that was killed off too fast or got taken into weird directions and then killed, and feel like "Man, this shit had potential, if I would like see it picked up again and done properly".

Holy fuck I forgot they change it. Just listened to it and it's really bad. It's mixed so much lower than the lyrics too it really sounds like it was bolted on.

It also shown Picard doesn't give a single fuck about his fellow Starfleet officers on the other ships. As he deliberately, for dramatic pause, delayed giving his fire now order. With the delay having several Federation ships be destroyed by the cube waiting for his order.

Thing is, all those whiney "not real trek" usenet comments had died out completely by Season 3. You know, when the show stopped being bad. No show post-Enterprise has stopped being terrible.

Also, Steve Shives is a faggot, and his audience consists solely of Redditers with bonus chromosomes. I don't give a shit what he or they say.

Whenever I see TNG the ship displays look so real and futuristic, and they're just high contrast film laid over plexiglass with little orange and pink colors behind it. (And add some animation with vfx now and again.)

This is just tvs in a wall. Like a space theme pizza restaurant. Imagine prissy Klingon bowing after serving up your meal.

Nechavey is the kind of competent character that has been purposefully surrounded by incompetent fools for political reasons, eventually runs out of patience (and options) and takes that frustration out on underlings (Picard, Sisko) who have no other choice, while disguising that personal, private dissatisfaction with how shit's handled with "I'm acting on orders from the Federation Council".
