During the mid to late 90s Lexx, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena, Earth: Final Conflict, Andromeda, Cleopatra 2525, that Tomb Raider-knock off show, and Jack of All Trades were a part of a syndicated packaged called something like Action Pack or something similar in the US. For me they'd start airing after the Friday 11pm local news, usually with Hercules, then Xena, then they'd air the weirder stuff like Lexx later on in the night. I also recall Hercules and Xena playing weekend afternoons as well or whenever the local stations needed to fill air time with syndicated shows. Saturday mornings at 0930 was MST3K reruns then the afternoon was DS9 and VOY and that night was either late 90s era SNL, X-Files reruns, or Monty Python's Flying Circus on PBS, uncensored. Twelve year old Mr. Racewar1488 didn't know how good he had it.Unsure who showed it in the States and at what time
And once you had your sci fi fix you always had good ole USA to the rescue with Cartoon Express on Sundays so you could avoid tv preachers or home improvement shows on public access, as well as Up All Night with Rhonda or occasionally Gilbert or Elvira. All gone and replaced with slop. No surprise we have grown men who goon to mlp.During the mid to late 90s Lexx, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena, Earth: Final Conflict, Andromeda, Cleopatra 2525, that Tomb Raider-knock off show, and Jack of All Trades were a part of a syndicated packaged called something like Action Pack or something similar in the US. Fuck, man, you just sent me on a nostalgia trip. Cleopatra 2525 had Gina Torres in it, too. Something about turn-of-the-century television shows was so particular.During the mid to late 90s Lexx, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena, Earth: Final Conflict, Andromeda, Cleopatra 2525, that Tomb Raider-knock off show, and Jack of All Trades were a part of a syndicated packaged called something like Action Pack or something similar in the US. Speaking of Sci-Fi channel, any recommendations for shows they produced besides Farscape and the Galactica reboot? I watched Farscape not too long ago for the first time since it aired. Amazing, as always.

It came out years before Mr. Holland's Opus, and was just another "Vigilante cleans up high school ruled by gangs" movie like we had since the 70s.Yeah not sure what happened to Treat Williams, he went from Hair to working with Sidney Lumet to this sinkhole. Not even being "selective" with this projects.

Not that Tom Berenger was exactly killing it either.
I rented The Substitute 1. With like two rewrites and one sober adult in the room, it would be good. Instead it’s like a cheap Seagal movie desperately trying to cash in on Mr. Holland's Opus.
Just an FYI, Lexx started on Showtime (the original TV movies which are considered season 1) then Sci-Fi ran it for the remainder of the show's run. Everything else you mentioned was syndicated. To bring this back to Trek, the masterpiece known as TekWar starring William Shatner (based on the novels written solely by Willaim Shatner) was part of the Action Pack group of series.During the mid to late 90s Lexx, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena, Earth: Final Conflict, Andromeda, Cleopatra 2525, that Tomb Raider-knock off show, and Jack of All Trades were a part of a syndicated packaged called something like Action Pack or something similar in the US. I consider myself a fucking walking depository of Trek shit and I have never subjected myself to a second of TekWar.To bring this back to Trek, the masterpiece known as TekWar starring William Shatner

I would recommend the Majuular video for anyone interested in the background of Tek War, fun video and seems to cover almost all of it.I consider myself a fucking walking depository of Trek bullshit and I have never subjected myself to a single second of TekWar.

Has anybody actually watched this thing? It sounds like a really stupid "Drug War" premise. So instead of fentanyl or coke or anything, people are getting addicted to virtual reality mind goo or something, “Tek.”

And then, if I remember right, you’ve got this businessman (Shatner) fighting TekCrime, like he's in Charlie’s Angels.

The main character is some guy named Jake. Jake. Of course it’s a Jake. Jake is not a real name. I am automatically suspicious of any character called Jake.

He’s half-posed like a hero. Like it pains him to be seen holding this prop gun.
Unrelated, but Herc mogged the fuck out of Xena. It's almost embarrassing how much better the Hercules show was.Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena
No idea if you'd count it, but ~canonically~ the Terrans are more sensitive to light than their Earth counterparts. The reason the Terrans always lose is because of OSHA violations

I used to hate the mirror episodes but I grew to like them while watching DS9 because the actors and actresses seemed to enjoy changing it up. Nana Visitor was really great as Dukat. Kira being an absolute fucking tyrant while Sisko was a rogue was fun to watch.Dear lord I hate Star Trek alternate universe, or in the past episodes.![]()
