Here's to my main man K'Vagh, who is (partially) responsible for the Klingons looking like humans with dark face paint on TOS.

Rumor has it that after K'Vagh was cured of the Klingon Augment virus, his ship flew through a temporal wormhole and crash-landed on 1960's earth somewhere in the West coast of the United states.Ah the time the Klingons became space blackface while trying to become super Klingons.
He also developed an unusual hatred of turtles if I recall my history.Rumor has it that after K'Vagh was cured of the Klingon Augment virus, his ship flew through a temporal wormhole and crash-landed on 1960's earth somewhere in the West coast of the United states.
As he appeared human, he had no problem blending in with the humans, taking on the human name "Philip Banks". He used his advanced future knowledge and Klingon honor to become a wealthy lawyer and eventually a judge, marrying a human woman and having 4 half Klingon children (who all inherited their fathers human appearance.). He also allowed his human nephew Will to live with them after suffering some trouble in West Philidelphia.
Indeed, lest we not forget the old Klingon proverb: "Turtle soup is a dish best served cold."He also developed an unusual hatred of turtles if I recall my history.
I was mostly just throwing a hypothetical, what if the Cardassians didn't have any females.
That's the lore I found on Star Trek Online, almost. And there's clues in the Memory-Alpha entry. This past summer they appeared as a PC race in the Alpha Quadrant sourcebook for Star Trek Adventures. Both STO and STA have to go to Paramount and CBS and ask permission to include background and stuff. I can imagine someone there just sees a stack of papers and signs their name without really looking at what was written. Both properties aren't subject to the 25% difference, so it's all TNG Prime timeline. In STO, there are the Ferasans, which have the exact history of the Kzin, except the stupid females part. I suppose that was a 25% change to avoid legal problems with Niven.Since TAS also (in)famously featured the furry catgirl M'Ress on the bridge, its always been my headcannon that the Caitians were some kind of colony world that seceded to join the Federation because they caught wind of what was going on back home and were horrified that half of their race was being turned into braindead fucktoys. Maybe was even the flashpoint that started the war against the Kzinti in the first place, kind of like how Texas seceding to join the US started the Mexican-American War. This has never been confirmed since most people tend to forget about TAS but I always found it neat to speculate on.

What the heck is going on any more?
It's from one of the recent Short Treks, directed by Giacchino. Also they've unironically wasted the budget on a 20-minute CGI animation for a made-up story about a strong little black girl from Africa who created the stars (yes, that same dumb story used in the first episode of STD season 2).Where did the animation come from?

Because the people making this shit specifically WANT you to suffer. Which is why the best response is to just point and laugh. Why must everything I love burn and die in the current year?
I used to be able to do that. Not so much lately...Because the people making this shit specifically WANT you to suffer. Which is why the best response is to just point and laugh.
Thanks. I hate it.I see you guys are hyped for the first episode of Picard. Just two weeks to go!
For whatever reason Chrome doesn't play nice with movie night and won't let me log in as a guest account. I was in for a viewing of The Craft once and then I tapped out during some shitty zombie movie. So, I managed to use a couple of tricks such as the recent apocalypse scare with Iran (I'm still listening to 99 Red Balloons) and impressing @The 8 of Spades by correctly guessing an extremely obscure movie off the top of my head to get original unremastered The Doomsday Machine slipped into the Sunday movie night. Apparently there has never a Star Trek movie night on this website which given how much our lord and saviors Mike Stoklasa and Rich Evans are massive Star Trek fans I find shocking.
If you aren't aware, the Sunday one is the smaller one and in my opinion chat isn't quite as chaotic as the Friday one. Dunno if anyone in the thread does movie nights but I felt maybe I outta let everyone know.
