How many current-day Americans do you think could tell you what the Bourbon French flag looked like? That's about as far removed from our time as the USA is from Star Trek. Yet most could probably describe the powdered wigs, knickers, and hooped dresses/corsets if pressed to describe the French aristocracy of that time.

Well last season she told emo Spock to be friends with the humans, especially one who is the opposite of him. At that point I was expecting her to say "look for a white guy named James T. something".
