I have seen sellers offering pretty nice Kanar bottles. But if you want alcohol-infused fish juice you have to make that yourself. You can buy gold-pressed latinum online, but you can't order a bottle of Kanar. Why has no one on Etsy thought of this.
I... I don't understand your meaning. You seem to imply that non-Italians do appreciate those things, which is laughable.Imagine if no one but Italians could properly appreciate pizza, or opera, or art, or fashion.
DRINKING KANAR WITH DAMAR!!
The UK lives next door to all those mediterranean cultures and imports nothing. They seem perversely proud of their awful food. Blitz Spirit! You seem to imply that non-Italians do appreciate those things, which is laughable.
Is kanar supposed to be fish-based? I got a recipe for fish liquor handy for you then:I have seen sellers offering pretty nice Kanar bottles. But if you want alcohol-infused fish juice you have to make that yourself.
The website that kinda handles all the lore has always had two sites, Memory Alpha and Memory Beta. Alpha only considers the lore from the TV shows and movies. While Memory Beta also adds lore from the novels and video games.I'm unclear, do the Trek books even count as canon like the Star Wars EU does?
Kanar is syrupy alcohol. Fish juice is more of a morning pick-me-up.Is kanar supposed to be fish-based?
Trek is similar to Star Wars: they routinely "canon cleanse" and don't want to risk fracturing the brand.I'm unclear, do the Trek books even count as canon like the Star Wars EU does?
I've become less embittered towards them over time. I've probably talked Generations to death. First Contact is still the most competent movie, and Nemesis is a mostly competent film even if its filled with cliches. They've both kind of scabbed over, especially now that nuTrek is so terrible. First Contact still has an awesome score too, and I really dig the new Romulan theme Goldsmith cooked up for Nemesis. Any Star Trek movie with a good score is still worth a damn. The Next Gen movies are terrible. Plain and simple.
It really depends on who you ask. Hardcore Trek nerds like the guy over at Ex Astris Scientia refuse to accept *any* licenced material as canon with the sole exception of the Star Trek Encyclopedia. The post-DS9 novels also had two different continuities as I recall. The only thing stuff like DS9 Relaunch had to lend to its credibility were the cooperation of some of the show's actors and I think one of the producers.I'm unclear, do the Trek books even count as canon like the Star Wars EU does?
From what I seen Trekkies of the Romulan variety and in general will strongly disagree on the Scimitar not belonging in Star Trek. Scimitar, the Rommie Mogai class cruiser and the Remans were about the only good things to come from Nemesis.Nemesis for all of its many faults actually had really good CG for the era and the Scimitar in particular looks quite good even though it probably belongs more in Warhammer 40k than Star Trek.
As Plinkett pointed out, Picard never really fraternized with Data. Stewart and Spiner have good chemistry, but not enough to make that leap. The TNG movies are a series of Picard/Data buddy cop flicks. That's probably where the characterization in STP comes from where they're practically gay lovers.
None of the remake cast had chemistry with each other. It just felt like strangers talking at each other instead of with. For that matter, Pine never really bonded with Quinto. The mob who slimed their way in with J.J. have no original ideas. They rely on old iconography to confuse the audience.
That was Piller's baby. Jeri Taylor used the Kazon as a pretext to scrap everything he introduced.Insurrection I still really hate though. I hate the Baku, I hate the plot,
So you're telling me, people watch this:People who say that Quinto does the original Spock justice probably never watched the original Spock. There was a quiet dignity about Nimoy's performances, whereas Quinto is Chris Pine's gay duckfaced elf buddy.
Maybe they find Spock's autistic screeching to be relatable. And their immediate reaction isn't to throw up in their mouth?
