Star Wars Expanded Universe Fans/Cultists - I HOPE YOU LIKE STAR WARS AUTISM

Didn't the Prequel Trilogy already basically established the Jedi were willing to accept the use of men who had been breed to fight as cannon-fodder? I can understanding them wanting their help in the heat of the moment on Geonosis, but the Jedi Council didn't object to their use afterward.

The Republic didn't have an army, they had no choice but to use the clones. It was either that or let the Separatists steamroll over them. Conscription wasn't an option, it'd take too long to train enough soldiers to replace the clones. Besides, it's pretty unlikely that Palpatine gave them much choice in the matter.

Make it happen, Disney.

If "Star Trek: Into Darkness" was any indication, there'll be a whole hodgepodge of references included, though more favoring casual fans than professional nerds.

Well, J.J. wasn't a Star Trek fan. He is a Star Wars fan, though.

So maybe hardcore nerds will get some bones thrown to them.

Probably has something to do with the fact that Zahn compared Thrawn to Sherlock Holmes. And Sherlock Holmes always attracts spergs.
Ewwww... Now I can kind of see why all of my lovely Chiss guildies were all women.
On another subject I can't believe Cathars are real.

I was an EU fan under Greedo's original character where he was portrayed as a tragic youngster with little experience trying to be a hunter while he was actually the hunted, to a hotheaded coward that was serially unlucky. Rodians just kinda look cool to me, thought that since I was a kid. The Quarren looked pretty cool too, but we had very few deep Quarren characters in the films... If any. I don't care that the EU is non-canon because it started to implode on itself. Best to while the slate clean.

I'm way disappointed that Wedge isn't going to be in the new movies. The X-Wing books kicked ass. If being a Rogue Squadron fangirl makes me a lolcow, then sign me up. (Seriously, those were the best)

I think the people on this thread who have actually read large chunks of the EU would agree with you in that the X-Wing series was among the best it had to offer. Again, this thread is about the twats who defend the fanfiction-ass writing of the EU in its later stages and threw an autistic rage over it getting rebooted.

Getting more back on topic, have this over-dramatic video mourning the death of the Star Wars EU:

I know this is off topic, but I think this user alone could fill his own topic. You see his Godzilla Vs. Zilla video? Pure sperging right there.

Anyways, this whole "Fuck Disney" attitude these people have make me wonder what they'd think if say, the EU was killed off much earlier than this. Would they completely bitch and moan that Lucas tried to replace their vision with Jar Jar Binks and Podracing?
