Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

This shitty show makes so little sense, in the first episode its shown that the people of ancorhead know who the inqusitors are and what they do, so cleary in the show even small backwater towns on Tattoine are aware of whats going on in the empire as the inqustior have to be fairly new at this point and Kenobi travles to anchorhead everyday for work. Was he just complety blind and deaf then?
Exactly. I could buy the whole he didn't know Anakin was still alive if they had depicted Tatoine as a total backwater with the inquisitors turning up being basically their first knowledge/experience of the empire and the Jedi purge.

Tatoine wasn't a republic system so wouldn't have become an empire system, especially since it is still Hutt controlled all through the OT. Then it may have made sense that Kenobi thought Anakin had died at Mustafar.

They really shouldn't have had Vader all suited up interacting with Kenobi at all, have him in it for marketing/fan service? Fine. If they wanted the Hayden, Ewan scenes then do a lot more of Kenobi essentially hallucinating Anakin.

This was a kid he raised from the age of 9 who turned to the dark side that he ultimately had to kill (as far as he knew). The guilt from that explored through hallucinations/flashbacks/whatever would have been a million times more interesting than a throw away line from a 2nd rate diversity actress and a badly shot lightsaber fight.

...and an amazingly awful performance from Strong Black Actress. Yes, she managed to do worse than in the previous episodes.

edit: adding a I'M ACTING sequence

Seriously what the fuck is going on with Darth Vader's voice? In the previous episode the so-called AI they use sounded pretty accurate to how he did the OT but now it sounds completely off and more to how he sounded in Rogue One as he yells at the Disney diversity hire. But then he starts speaking normally as if they just poorly cut and pasted previous dialogue from the past films.

Now he's speaking kind of like that one video where they have Yoda speak "normally"!!

That scene is awful and the acting is awful. The colored girl does not speak as someone would who is a part of the SW universe. Typically that is my biggest complaint with these new TV series, they speaking and inflection is incorrect for the SW world.

please retcon it so yoda disguised himself as a jawa to repeatedly visit luke on tatooine over the years and also sell him the droids and make that one droid's head explode with the force

edit: and child leia, also disguised as a jawa, visits tatooine and meets her brother and rolls her eyes at some stupid boy stuff he does
I think you've just found the Holy Grail for endless, terrible Lucasfilm retcons, friend. The Jawas were everywhere!

Episode 4 of Kenobi felt like a missed opportunity because it felt like they could've had some flashbacks with Ewan and Hayden while he was recovering. Otherwise the episode was meh.

Reva now solidifies herself as the worst character in the show since she is really annoying and couldn't even intimidate a 10 year old without threats of torture. Hell her entire plan is stupid. She also is acted terribly and almost sounds bored.

Also it was silly to mourn for some random rebel who died.

This show honestly is carried by Ewan and to an extent whoever played Leia since they're the better parts of the show. Vader is pretty decent but I wished there was more done with him in terms of emotional drama than what happened last week or yelling at the Inquisitors who are really stupid.

Also there's a part where Obi-Wan sneaks into the imperial base where he just puts on a hat and trenchcoat and puts Leia under it and they just casually walk around.

Vader and Kenobi should never meet.

This series idea was a stupid dumpster fire that would never work. But if you were trying to do the concept in the least dumb way:

- There should be some major Rebellion plot going on. Vader is on his way to crush it, pulled away from his Jedi hunting duties and forced by the emperor to delegate the hunt to the inquisitors. (plus another paycheck for Ian). Vader attempting to crush the nascent rebel alliance is the B plot.
- Nigquisitor reports to Vader via hologram while hunting who turns out to be Obi Wan.
- Kenobi has been isolated, but now being drawn out starts seeing everyone talking about "Lord Vader" - Obi knows Anakin = Vader, but given its just a suit of black armor doesn't know for sure its Anakin under there. So Nigquisitor can confirm its Anakin for Kenobi.
- As you said, Kenobi has major mental problems - his friends are dead, the republic is no more, the sith are taking over, and the only hope of turning this around is some retarded 6 year old boy he needs to keep from killing himself on the daily.
- Vader and Kenobi never meet. We get lots of cut aways scenes of Vader being vader and just slicing his way through rebel, choking bitches out, being the Vader who has the rep he has in ANH. This furthers the B plot, and Vader's complete curb stomping of rebels makes the importance of the A plot stand out: If Kenobi doesn't keep Vader away from the important maguffin, the Rebel Alliance is finished before it can begin.
- Rescuing Leia or w/e means that ESB like Vader crushes a Rebel outpost and does some damage but the leaders manage to get away.

They should have a cut-away scene in every episode: "meanwhile on Tatooine" and it's just Luke playing outside like if he was in a podracer.

I think it's James Earl Jones' current voice but they are using a program to make him sound younger and more energic.

Have they shown a hoodless Jawa in the new canon? If not, the Jawas are actually all Yodas and they have their owns Life Day aka Pride March once every 1000 years, which happens to fall either 10 years before or after Return of The Jedi.

I think so too. The only way his voice can work is if he voiced old people, which Vader isn’t that old.

Voice actors like William Frederick Knight, Peter Renaday and Michael Forest (all in their late 80s/early 90s) voice old people now because they’re old and their voices reflect that, unless there’s a supernatural element that causes otherwise.

James Earl Jones is what, in his 90s at this point? Man's lived a long, full life and has had one hell of a career, Disney should just let him be and find a soundalike. Unless he actively wants to keep doing it in which case more power to him I suppose.

I like him but he's too old for the character. They should have hired the guy who voiced Vader in The Force Unleashed.

That would be Matt Sloan, the guy who did those “Chad Vader” videos on YouTube. He made occasional appearances as Vader in official material from 2008 to around 2012. Perhaps not coincidentally, they stopped using him as soon as Disney took over, in favor of bringing back James Earl Jones, because REMEMBER HIM?!!???

An AI can never replicate a preformance of a human voice actor. Why couldn't they get a person that does a good James Earl Jones Darth Vader impression?
