The Kiwi Farms was targeted with a historic DDoS attack last week. Confirmed reports of 2.8Tbps on an individual provider, topping 4.8Tbps when known volumes are added together, and possibly up to 8Tbps if the attacker is believed. This is the third of fourth largest recorded.

Well shit, bethsoft already said they only care about starfield now so forget about a new elder scrolls, let alone a new fallout, unless msft has the balls to tell todd to get fucked and let the FNV guys to make another game.
its also why you use speech and don't really kill many people until the end or can do a pacifist run rather easily. thats also why people whine about fallout 3's setting
In Fo3 IIRC the idea was that the capital got far more nuked than the west and there wasn't even something like to BoS at first to bring some order to the land so that's why shit stayed like that.
And in Fo4 the logic is the institute is keeping things as they are because it makes it easy for them to control boston.
As for FNV it still felt very post-apocalyptic to me, people are still living in the ruins of the old world and there's barely any new stuff, its all repaired and recycled stuff as always.

That's because we're on the very edge of said civilization. The NCR and Legion both have standardized armies and currencies instead of an un-uniformed rabble and scavenged bottle caps. The only reason we use caps is because they're an accepted trade currency in non-NCR lands (which includes New Vegas). If we were trying to buy something in the NCR proper they'd likely expect payment in dollars and not caps. Hell, they even pay the Sloan workers in dollars instead of caps.

I havnt played Dead Money since it came out. I remember it being really hard but the pay off was a holographic gun and I really enjoyed the story. I never went back on subsequent playthroughs though and burnt myself out of NV by the time Lonesome Road came out. I think the difficulty was fine for what it was, your character is enslaved and put into a gas city after all.
I have the premium upgrade thing pre ordered on xbox. Cucking myself hard at 30FPS, but I probably am going to play most of it on my steamdeck using xcloud anyways.
Being part of the Bethesda modding community at one point is not something I'm proud of. Mostly because of this shit. Of all the mods I worked on. I think maybe 3 actually came out. The rest just descended into autistic tranny janny modding drama. And all the work I and others did is just lost because some people just see modding as a way to create an autistic grooming community on Discord they can be kings of.
I will say, the theory behind this Starfield community patch is sound. Guys like Halgari are talking sense to a point. But I've no idea why he's helping Nexus after the entire Bethesda modding tranny jannies bitched and moaned for him daring to make installing autistic mod lists easier for the end user with Wabbajack. Which in hindsight was blatant gay ops to buy time for the Nexus's own modlist system using Vortex. Nexus was clearly trying to actually fuck with Halgari because he was an outsider to their gay modder clique.
Although saying that, this whole Starfield patch seems to be made by people outside of the usual modding click. Maybe Artmoor fucking off and taking his gay retard friends with him will do some good for Starfield modding. The only reason people put up with Artmoor and his mods is because so many mods relied on his stupid fucking community patch full of awful changes he made to the base game needlessly. I still see the same problem happening with Starfield though of some retarded changes happening on the whims of one of the modders and because lots of mods require that mod no one can do shit. And the Tranny Janny modder autism continues. We shall see.
On the other, I've never understood why so many people were just against using the mod that removed the dumbass changes from his mod. Like if you're going to be so beholden to Nexus that you can't just download a single off site mod you deserve whatever stupid shit Arthmoor is giving you.
Don't even give me that copyright bullshit they try to pull either. The idea of bug fixes having "copyright" is so fucking laughable.
a big reason the other DLCs don't fuck you like Dead money with your supplies is because of how many people whined about the difficulty, possibly the most difficult game that was put out by a AAA studio. You can tell the other DLCs were designed with this type of limitation in mind and its why they're piss easy if you play with your old gear.
Was dead money really considered hard? It felt the easiest to me until trying to leave with all the gold, which is intentionally a pain in the ass.
I've always had a harder time with the other DLC because the enemies feel way over tuned because you aren't being totally stripped of all your gear like DM. Plus you really only fight the ghosts and Elijah in DM and the fog is easy to navigate even on a first playthrough, whereas the others are throwing cazador, nightstalkers, deathclaw, those ghoul fuckers in the divide, tribals with dummy strong guns, tunnelers, roboscorps etc. At you nonstop.
Not to mention the Holo-rifle basically being DM's easy mode since you can turn anything you find into ammo for it and it's OP as fuck.
So reading some impressions/reviews, and the weirdest take away for me is that the story is legitimately good for Bethesda and that the main quest carries the game, but the exploration is lackluster and is leaving people scratching their heads over the whole 1000 planet business.
Edit: I'm convinced the SSD is only a requirement because of the amount of load screens based on how much people talk about it.
Just watched ACG's review of the game. Really impressive. https://youtube.com/watch?v=CvbK1fsc-yk
Now I want the modding community to bring the Defiant or the NX-01 into the game.
Just watched this review and he seems less than impressed. Shows a lot of the late game bugs. Also goes in how the planet exploration is not what Todd promised. Even has the people/items just floating into the sky issue i had in skyrim.
I'm almost inclined to believe that it's a canvas to let players mod in their own content.
A big problem in past games when it comes to modding is landscape compatibility.
1000 stars is a lot of blank canvas to paint upon.
If not it's just Todd wanting a big number even if it adds nothing to the base experience
