Starfield - Bethesda's new space IP: will probably be full of fun and easily trackable bugs

How do you think Starfield will turn out?

The Act Man takes the Bethesdrone pill and defends Starefield like the good little paypig he is. He also throws Az under the bus for screaming about pronouns in his video and tells you you're insane if you think Starfield is highly woke. I never respected this guy to begin with so I'm not surprised a big name youtuber is going the way of the bugman now that he's making more money than the working class.
THIS NIGGA USED VAUSH'S CLIPS IN HIS VIDEO AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Act Man bros, the question of him going route of Chris Raygun or Icuckzz is not "If" but "When".

There's a local map, but it's like a weird dot matrix that shows off elevation and shit and has no detail at all. I get what they were trying to do with it for uncharted planets, but it makes absolutely no sense for cities and outposts because it offers absolutely no information.

As for the locks...yeah, basically.

There are...four? levels of lockpicks. I think it's novice, advanced, expert and master.

You can pick novice without leveling, but advance, expert and master you can't pick until you select the perk in the lockpicking tree.

Each level of lock adds additional levels to the lock.

It's not so much more difficult, just more tedious/time consuming. The best way I could describe it is if you had to pick an additional lock with each level of difficulty in Skyrim or Fallout 4.

And it's absolutely pointless since there seems to be no modifier to high level locks when it comes to giving you better/more items. Looking up on the starfield subreddit, most people are claiming they find more EMPTY containers after lockpicking master locks than under the lower levels.

It's a baffling choice. It's like they're combining Oblivion's lockpicking system with Skyrim/Fallouts, but they don't gel well at all.
its true, because loot and most of the worlds are randomly generated so is the loot. outside of the handmade locations its never worth it to lockpick anything besides doors.
I have been taking along a new constellation companion on every new game run to explore their dialogue and relationship system
i don't know if you've done this but do any of the non-quest companions save the fanboy have any unique dialogue or other reasons to take them on the main quests, outside of the robot being fairly useless besides for drawing fire it seems like this game has the worst companions of any bethesda game ever made. Also which of the constellation people do you think is the "best" in your playthroughs,

I've been meaning to test it with Lin and Heller but my gut says 'absolutely not.' I'm guessing all the crewmember "companions" you can find are completely bereft of content, but I'll see soon enough. I have one or two more constellation members to run through before I try one out.

Andreja, it isn't even close.

I will be taking the cowboy with me on my next big run. I'm saving Vasco for last in the hopes that much like dogmeat in fallout 4, he wins the competition by virtue of being the least insufferable (just kidding, I loved curie).

Also if you disregard skyrim's dlc then I think skyrim had the worst companions of all time.

You're supposed to run through it like seven times to see all the galaxy variations you can encounter so it's short by shitty design.

I'm really disappointed to see outpost building is even shittier than F4 because I was genuinely excited about the idea of making like a bitching space station somewhere to treat like a home base.

Microsoft murdered Minecraft modding and shit just this year so I fully one hundred and ten percent expect them to do this in some form. Mods will be routed through Bethesda or need some form of authentication so they can kill anything they don't like and monetize what they do.
Glad I didn't pay for it. Starfield is not worth full retail. Hopefully it'll get some good total conversions.

I just started my 5th (6th? I cant remember anymore ill have to check my latest armor) new game plus run and I am dying laughing. I have no idea if it's randomized or specific to certain numeric runs but very heavy but very HILARIOUS spoilers ahead: I just got to the constellation lodge to start yet another run in pursuit of my ng+ x10 armor and there is a version of my character that is already there and has MURDERED EVERYONE AT THE LODGE. .

hahaholeeeeshit.jpg
HAHAHAHA it turns out there is a payoff for all of us who hated these fucking losers

I don't play it because of the 5th Edition rule set and how aggressively horny it is. Never thought I'd see mods from Skyrim and Fallout that were more tame but here we are.

There was a Kotaku (yeah I know) article saying how Nexus is explicitly left leaning now after banning the pronouns mod.

They'll ban any mod that removes pronouns but allow mods that let you kill children?

Typical leftist faggots.

The non quest companions are used for ship ad outpost buffs. You can talk to them a bit but they're not nearly as fleshed out.

Constellation people are a LOT more chit chatty than others.

Also I currently have my Adoring fan, Sarah, Sam, and Andreja all on one ship.... not exactly sure how.

Also, I take certain companions on certain faction quests.

Also has anyone figured out a good spice farm? High-end food needs it all the time and it's kinda chokepointing my food crafting. Merchants only have like ~10/20 at best.
Have you tried scanning plants and animals? I got spices off of a creature I killed, and I found a plant that primarily produces spice. Unfortunately I cant tell you where they are because the planets are random lmao. Paradiso had like 4 different spice producing species on it, so maybe a premade planet will have it
but I don't see why the weapons framework couldn't be expanded to armors somehow and the settlements are frankly just completely unneeded in FNV since there's an actual world and towns for you to make use of instead of empty barren patches.
New Vegas actually had a settlement mod. I was excited to use it until i realized all the interesting locations already have things there. Got no use out of it because there was nowhere to build it, heard they used this mod for Fallout 4.
Yeah you could do that, or you could just get a gun with a high fire rate like a Drumbeat and slap on the concussive mod and humble every enemy you come across.
I roll around with a anti-personnel armor-piercing shotgun and gravity wave. Shoot, approach, bash, shoot, grav wave, shoot shoot shoot. Tends to be an effective stunlock. Rare to find anything immune to grav wave as well. The antigrav field isnt as reliable.
They don't say, explicitly, how many people escaped Earth (LOL, Hollow Earth has a higher likelihood of being real than the Earth's atmosphere and magnetosphere disappearing over the course of a few decades
It's actually stated in a story mission what happened.
The extensive use of grav drives rendered earth unihabitable due to damage to our magnetosphere. I don't think they ever bring up the implication that this means every planet in the galaxy will be rendered unihabitable eventually.

really hope this doesn't come back to bite me in the ass, but I highly doubt Bethesda or Microsoft are stupid enough to try and go paid mods only, that's cartoonishly evil company stuff.
I literally bought Starfield for the promise of modding on console like Skyrim and Fallout 4. If they walk it back to just creation club content I'm gonna raise a stink.
Yeah sure let me just go back to an older save where I already did almost all the plot so I can keep going into the NG+ plot. vry nice.
Imagine touting a NG+ mechanic, not telling people what happens and the solution is "just don't use it lmao."
Complaining the New Game Plus changes things kinda misses the point? The entire story is about multiverses, so the fact that you can see a universe where things are so different is genuinely an interesting concept to add to NG+ and personally gives me a reason to see the next universe.
haven't seen the quote myself, but I've seen people saying that Todd/Bethesda claimed that the emptyness of many planets was intentional because that's how it was when humanity first walked on the moon.
I feel i should mention the ancient anomalous temples full of universal power that havent been discovered before even in deep space usually have an occupied outpost within walking distance. Nobody ever bothered to investigate the gravity anomalies before settling.

Yeah bro, they paid me to be here. That's why I encouraged people to bootleg the game. It's not that I genuinely enjoy the game and think most people are being gay /v/irgins about it.
And joined dates are the most meaningful part of an account, second only to updoot score. The longer you've been here, the more broken brained correct you are.

Are you talking about Farming Bob, or something else? When I tried Farming Bob it was clunky to use and sadly, a lot of the scripting it used really needs an update.

Its actually Real Time Settler. Its pretty clunky to set up a settlement which is why i dont care Bethesda ripped the mod off for Fallout 4 and made it fit in better. Was running it with New California and Robco Certified as a geeky black chick. (Both great mods, NC is a prequel to NV and Robco Certified allows you to have an army of automata do all the fighting for you. Never even leveled a weapon skill)

Ah, yeah, I couldn't remember the name but I knew something that was an actual settlement mod existed. Like you said, there's no real point since all the fun places are already occupied, and setting up in the middle of Ivanpah or El Dorado is a terrible idea. Could maybe set up shop outside the Repconn test building once Come Fly With Me is finished?

Also, I have but this to say in response to the revelation that a man called Siddhartha Rakshit helped created these lovely models:
DESIGNATED SHITTING POLYGONS.

Imagine actually paying for this shit, be it with money or your free time. You bought snake oil and drenched youraelf in it for over 100 hours. I’d be begging other people to play too just so I can hide in a sea of retards and replace the shame with solidarity
Woah, calm down there.
