Please find attached the transcript of Nicholas Rekieta's 01/24/2025 Plea Deal Hearing. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the fund.
Much appreciated.

Nice to see black on white that a judge will not accept a plea if he keeps proclaiming his innocence.

[EDIT] Nick is taking the hit for the drugs in the safe. Which means Kayla could not be charged for them anyway.

Let's get real here. I do not know where you live but where I live some of the shit CPS finds it so vile and disgusting, you have to put Nick's neglect into perspective and ask where you want CPS to actually be for the real shit. what happened with Nick's kids is way down the bottom of the list of the shit they see and deal with.
Like all first time offenses, they give opportunities and why would you destroy a family unless you had to? Unless you have to?
I have experience dealing with CPS, and I hold them in utter disdain for how they operate. I have hope that it's not as prevalent in other places, but here the head of CPS legitimately only cares about how good it looks for them when they say "we had 100 cases this year, and through our "diligent hard work" we managed to rehabilitate 99 families so that they weren't torn apart".

Hold up. No more drug treatment/testing? Paging @Potentially Criminal.

No they are asking if another “assessment” can be waived where Nick has to report how often he uses, what he uses, etc…so they can gauge the level of treatment he needs.

Only at his sentencing will a judge determine what level of drug test monitoring / probation he will be imposed.

Why does the court have to reject my boy Lewis like that? Love is love, Judge!

Maybe it comes from me being from a third-world country that doesn't natively speak English. But what I didn't understand from that interaction is that the court asked for something other than a date, and then Mr. Lewis proceeded to talk about a date-related problem.
