Tbf it's a pretty competitive market and you're better off putting a cute waifu on the cover than a muscular man. Doesn't help it is connected to an established IP that most people didn't play. Does the game have a complete plot or it ends on a cliffhanger?

Right, like Khazan was already releasing in market saturated with so many Souls-like that it'd make sense that outside of its art style(that I actually think looks pretty cool) it didn't do much difference than many others. Honestly I personally feel like it would've done much as a character action game which I feel would compliment the cell shaded esthetic more tbh.
