Anyways, I'm about 4 hours in now. Game's running smooth as silk (cause it's not UE5). Haven't progressed enough to encounter the new boss fights yet but they should be coming up soon.

If we're going by the numbers on /v/, it hit a stones throw to 100,000 on a Wednesday night release. That's fucking crazy for a AA game in 2025. It might hit more on the weekend due to the typical weekend bump, but this game is doing gangbusters and has definite momentum to it, which is plain to see with how competently made and just good it is.

It's not the most open-ended, technical game in the world, but what's here is very good. People call it a coomer game, but I've always seen it as a love letter to PS3/PS2 era action games like Bayonetta or Bloodrayne, where there's sexy babes doing cool technical action bullshit. I can understand not wanting to buy it now due to Denuvo, but it's a definite must in terms of playing it at some point.

108k concurrent now and still rising. I do find it interesting that nobody big is streaming it and the highest viewcount stream at the moment was a vtuber with around 450ish viewers. More people are streaming/watching Hogwarts Legacy than this.

My guess is that since it is a lot more intensive to run than Hogwarts Legacy for certain and most people are playing this game on a 8 GB GPU, streaming the game AND playing it will be impossible or a slideshow, which wouldn't be pleasant for the average viewer.
 
very happy with SB's success, hopefully this wakes Snoy up and they cut the number of shitty games with hideous characters they greenlight (and also fire Cuckmann) (yes, I know that SB's sales pale in comparison to TLoU part 2, unfortunately)

I imagine most of the streaming this game was going to get was done when it was initially released on PS5.
 
"I wish I was playing Nioh", the game. Or the only lesson taken from Nier: Automata being that you need an android MC with ostentatious fanservice to make a good game, not that some tasteful upskirt was a compliment to a whole package of a genre defining masterpiece.
Also, damn the writing was atrocious. Maybe it magically gets better later, but you can really tell it came from a gacha company.

I feel bad for the Khazan devs, who knew you only needed to add impeccable softcore pinup models to a 5/10 game to get half of China to buy it. And you can't even blame soulslike fatigue, half the games announced this month are soulslikes and Nightreign sold well.
