It will never not be funny that Franssen considers a right wing folk artist his mortal enemy given that such a person represents a community of people he should otherwise get along with: musicians and creative types who share a comparable political outlook. It goes back to something jagged up in Franssen's psychology where he thinks any competition demands utter hatred. If he is supposed to like someone, he "gets in line" and creates a hierarchy in his head (like with Nick), and if he doesn't need to like someone but considers them a rival he has thoughtless spergout fits (like he does here).
