Holy crap that body language with his wife. His arms are crossed through 90% of that video and he's leaning away from her instinctively, to say nothing of that look of fear that's constantly plastered on his face. And that drowning comment at the end...holy fuck. I hope Steve can gather the courage to leave his abuser one day.

Steve Shives first hit my radar when PZ Myers "approved" his list of acceptable feminist atheists on youtube.

Look down the list and tick off all the cows who have threads here, either before or since the video was made.

and of course Steve's view of the bloke who told Jenny that Shoeonhead was a barely legal cumbucket cunt.

I finally had the chance to update the OP. I've alphabetized the list of pundits and put the list itself in spoiler tags due to length. I've even written the months out by name rather than number for our International Kiwifags who use the wrong calendar order.

The former @dollarhuviya and the current @chimpburgers sent me some great links in a PM with the promise of more good shit. I'll be sure to get to it sometime this week, and appreciate all the great contributions this young thread has received.

Just a minor bit of idiocy in the grand scheme of things that Steve says, but I'll leave this here:

This idiot said:
In the next month or so, I'm going to end production on both of my ongoing Five Stupid Things series and replace them with new shows under different titles. The main motivation behind this is that I've decided, after some personal reflection and conversations with friends whose opinions I greatly respect, that I'm no longer comfortable creating a series with the word "stupid" in the title. I've come to accept that many people who are neuroatypical find the word to be demeaning and dehumanizing, and I'm going to make more of an effort to refrain from using it myself. I hate the thought of alienating or insulting someone without meaning to, and while it's impossible to avoid doing that completely, this is an instance where I can avoid it with just a relatively minor adjustment on my part.

The minefield he's trying to tiptoe through just keep getting bigger...

That's stupid.

That's practically the only reason why I'd ever watch this guys channel was for the Five Stupid Things series. Not all of them that I saw were too bad but he just shows how arrogant he can be with this kind of shit.

Here's something that amused me. Steve Shives recently said in his Batman vs Superman 5 stupid things video, that he'd stop his "5 stupid things about" video series.

He said it's largely to do with wanting to change his formula to encompass different adjectives. Presumably because he is starting to run out of subjects to make weekly videos on. But at the end he said in his video the other reason why is because he sees the word "stupid" as "ableist"

Bare in mind this guy used to talk constant shit about theistic arguments and could've been seen as a Euphoric atheist. And now he's completely declawed and feminist to the point where he things the word stupid is poor taste.

The sad thing is he still talks constant shit about things but he does it in a very passive aggressive manner. It's presumably his wife's mannerisms rubbing off on him.

What a fucking tard.

His Atheist Reads series was actually entertaining. Too bad he's a SJW fuckwit now.
The odd thing about his atheism reads series is he compartmentalizes his critique about religion.

When Steve talks about his critique of Christianity he is one of the harshest critics. He spends literal hours dissecting very minor statements with very well researched passages in response.

When talking about social justice and feminism he does not give it the same scrutiny. And he doesn't respond to other people who scrutinize it. It's why Armored Skeptic in his response to Steve Shives stated he treats Feminism as if it's his religion and that he is no better than the theists he rails against. As an atheist, he is laid back and claims it is just a group he is part of that anyone can join but nobody is forced into.

As a feminist, he repeats the mantra of how you cannot be for gender equality and not be a feminist. In Steve's eyes you are either a feminist, or a misogynist (and he's admitted to this). There is no in-between. This is much like how in Christianity you must either be a Christian or you go to Hell.

And of course the main reason he doesn't question his opinions or answer critics about it is for emotional reasons. He is scared of pissing off his mostly social justice friends and his wife. Sargon of Akkad even challenged Steve to a 1 hour debate. And stated he would donate 1 thousand euros to a charity of Steve's choice for just attending. And Steve wussed out. That's how intellectually dishonest he is.

It's really quite sad, seeing him brought down to such a level of despair and fear whenever he shares the screen with his wife. He's always got his head turned away from her and this expression of dread plastered on his face. No one can blame him, of course, when his wife looks like she stepped out of the Demon's Souls character creator with her uncanny valley-esque facial expressions and her nose that's longer than Bob Chipman's last order at Sonic. The nightly peggings must be pure agony for him, and their day-to-day domestic life probably looks like a reenactment of Theon's scenes in the last three seasons of Game of Thrones. :cryblood:

This drives me fucking nuts about SJW atheists. They go utterly apeshit about anything remotely "problematic" about Christianity with all kinds of well researched quotes about the Old Testament and other similar nonsense. Often this stuff is actually correct. Those scriptures would actually be quite bad if ANYONE ACTUALLY DID THAT SHIT ANY MORE.

Meanwhile they'll ignore literal rape and murder from Islamists even when it tracks scripture to the letter.

This is why I like Pat Condell's rants sometimes even if he's also an insane asshole. At least he is consistent.
