The odd thing about his atheism reads series is he compartmentalizes his critique about religion.
When Steve talks about his critique of Christianity he is one of the harshest critics. He spends literal hours dissecting very minor statements with very well researched passages in response.
When talking about social justice and feminism he does not give it the same scrutiny. And he doesn't respond to other people who scrutinize it. It's why Armored Skeptic in his response to Steve Shives stated he treats Feminism as if it's his religion and that he is no better than the theists he rails against. As an atheist, he is laid back and claims it is just a group he is part of that anyone can join but nobody is forced into.
As a feminist, he repeats the mantra of how you cannot be for gender equality and not be a feminist. In Steve's eyes you are either a feminist, or a misogynist (and he's admitted to this). There is no in-between. This is much like how in Christianity you must either be a Christian or you go to Hell.
And of course the main reason he doesn't question his opinions or answer critics about it is for emotional reasons. He is scared of pissing off his mostly social justice friends and his wife. Sargon of Akkad even challenged Steve to a 1 hour debate. And stated he would donate 1 thousand euros to a charity of Steve's choice for just attending. And Steve wussed out. That's how intellectually dishonest he is.
