Tumblrettes love Steven Universe so much they're willing to make porn with their selfinsert furries.

I think they just care about getting off to whatever is popular.

The fandom sure hates it when you ship the Pearl character with any male character, especially that mayor one. It seems they like to take it as "lesbian erasure" and yell that "it's confirmed that Pearl is gay because she had feelings for a female".

And then I found this.

Not posting the other version due to both technical difficulties and it just being the same image except without the jizz

I feel like if you need to clarify that the characters of your porn drawing are "of age" then you shouldn't being drawing that picture in the first place

...they're literally both ten years old. Also, guess that "Steven Galaxy" tag isn't a thing anymore.

This guy I swear.
As stupid as the latter is, he does have a point in that no one can control how a fan chooses to engage with the show. After all, all they can do is just complain while someone makes some edit or drawing that triggers them.

This show is generic as hell. I'll never understand how it managed to spawn this much nuclear autism.
IIRC, it was explicitly designed to have special snowflake characters. So that might be one part. One of the people who worked on it admitted that they were forced to draw in ways that they'd never do unless specifically instructed, like purposefully making them unappealing to look at.

Actually, to give the show some credit, while the plot is generic, it actually takes a turn for the dark and continuity-driven in a rather unexpected manner after many one-off episodes... which could explain why tumblr loves this show so much. They love the idea of a "Cutesy show revealing a much more serious plot". Why did they flock to Adventure Time in the first place?
Tumblr love cartoons because they are emotionally immature.

wow a total of three people calling your RP copypasta shit. You would expect better from a site that has a minimum age limit disclaimer on the front page.

Literally just Googling "steven universe trans" produces so much overthinking and sperging about a kid's cartoon. It's amazing.

It's a shame that they won't make you go to rehab on the charge of being a Steven Universe fan.

What did you expect, though? Overthinking and sperging about popular culture is everywhere these days!

Sometimes I wonder if this is just becoming the new "normal" and everyone is just accepting this. Then I become horrified when I realize that it kind of is. Not just with cartoons either. My God. What happened?

We as a culture failed to heed the words of Joel Hodgson: "It's just a show, you should really just relax."

Alternately, I have a feeling that our culture is becoming stupider as its entertainment is becoming supposedly smarter. Honestly, it's hard to figure out what the hell the real reason is behind all this.

On the other hand, the people who criticize this have to watch themselves. Already I've seen too many people that think they know everything because they watched Idiocracy once. If I had to guess what caused it, I think it was people insisting on revealing their power level. At first it was just weird when one guy did it, but suddenly it became acceptable because everyone did it and if you don't you're a shitlord or something.

Look at this shit, seriously.

Or this.
