How the heck did Tumblrites find Steven Universe?

1. The creator was a former Adventure Time storyboard artist, and a very popular one at that, since she did some of the best episodes on the show
2. The main cast's designs appeal to Tumblr, even though appealing to them probably wasn't what the artists had in mind when they designed them
3. Any new cartoon will be found in some way on Tumblr, it's inevitable. There's fandoms for even the shittiest shows on TV right now (i The 7D,Randy Cunningham 9th Grade Ninja, etc)

If anything the show was just made for some television company to get more kids for ratings. Only thing made for fans is self-masturbatory fan-art that strokes the ego and autistic headcanons. Anything else from the show, it's just made to get more money for the staff and the station they work for.

It also got like, 250k notes on Tumblr when it was originally posted and is part of the reason I can easily portray pretty much every open fan of the series a massive sperg. It's not even close to a "loud minority." It's all of the fans.
