Steven Universe - Now a Griefing Thread

If I may be honest, I didn't really like the episode. I thought there were a few funny lines in context of the game itself, but the set up was just weird. At least I expected something more dramatic out of the episode and the sudden appearance of other rubies, following the entire cluster thing (which was wrapped up a bit too fast for my taste) . Instead I get to see "our" Ruby act awkwardly with the others, Lapis constantly with an expression that says "why I am even doing this shit" and five rather dumb rubies with personalities that in parts reminded me of the cast of MLP. Mind you, this is only my opinion, based on expecting the story of the show to stick at least a bit longer to their dramatic stuff before doing something like Steven floating. I will give credit to Sugar though if it was truly intentional to play with expectations of the viewers. Like, expecting something dramatic out of rubies showing up, only for it to become a comedy episode about baseball.
I'm sorry this children's show didn't meet your standards

So I just watched the latest leaked episode with Steven back in his hometown.

I really liked that he was able to figure out how his power worked and to control it in one episode, at least at a basic level. I was afraid it was going to be like his Gem or his healing powers where it would only kick in now and again or take a full season to get under control, but he figured it out pretty easily once he actually thought about it.

And his "it's tied to my emotions, just like all my stupid powers!" line killed me. Same with the complicated feelings about mom one.

Sorry for double post, but it looks like we're about to get one hell of a string of new episodes.

Good to hear Summer of Steven's living up to the hype.

Still don't know why these weren't released sooner, but still, good on CN for finally doing something good to the fans for a change.

I still think CN's taking the Gravity Falls approach. That is, withholding episodes until they think they can get the best ratings.

I'd imagine that's why there's so many episodes coming out at once, because they held back on releasing them over the year.

Though I suppose it makes a lot of sense to release new episodes in the summer, so school isn't a factor in people not watching.

"As I sit at my laptop drinking my tea with a sip of satisfaction of hearing the good news of New SU episodes are releasing, I suddenly choke and gasp as my conscious whispers to me....
DEATH IS COMING.

I'm surprised they're actually keeping their word. I thought the Summer of Steven would consist of those few episodes from May and then just stop there until next year, as Cartoon Network usually does. But good on them for not just airing 5 episodes twice a year.
