It's not terrible but if you expect more from it than what usually goes on then you're going to be disappointed.

Wait until you get to season 2-3, that's when the staff begins to insert their SJW messages.

>watching three years of a show just to get to the point where the obvious SJWs running it get to insert messages

Lol calm down, just watch some ponies instead.

Steven Universe suffers from what many modern shows suffer from, the awkward progression from monster-of-the-week type format to an overarching plot. Another example would be Doctor Who. Both shows suffered a significant drop in quality as a result of the change, and I suspect it came about as their popularity increased and the writers became bolder (or were changed, as in Dr Who), and tried to create something bigger and more dramatic.

I still think Fourth Doctor, almost entirely monster-of-the-week shit, was best Doctor.

I wish there were more cartoons on CN nowadays like Over the Garden Wall. Short, sweet, amazing animation, voice acting, and not shoving itself down your throat at every turn.

Though I suppose without Tumblr and 13 year old SU wouldn't still be on. I couldn't really get through much of hte first season because It was obvious that the age-group they originally intended the show to be for was -much- younger, and the dialogue is weirdly stunted. maybe that's just me though.
