Fuck lady what's the point of a cartoon? You want to entertain children or proselytize to them? Some of these people who never interact with actual children need to be reminded at young ages children get colors, people, and important historical events wrong all the time so why would they be able to learn and understand your pointless gobbity gook. For real some of these people I think legit believe those bullshit stories about woke Albert Einstein children and spontaneous clapping.

That lily person is the same one that did that two and a half hour rant called “Steven Universe is Garbage and Here’s Why” where she basically accused Rebecca a Suger multiple times of being a Nazi/fascist apologists but then through in “of, she only made the show Nazi/facsict apologist on accident” to cover her ass.

Idk, if kids can handle themes like poly-relationships, all types of gender and genocide, I'm pretty sure they also can handle a bit more realistic world. The last episode was quite dumb and the only character that wasn't annoying cunt is White Diamond, but scratch that, she got Alzheimer's right after Steven's mighty cliche speech we've heard before.
Steven himself became a biggest Mary-sue possible and it didn't help the show at all. Eh.

Eh, he has a point insofar that making the villains meaner than 40 Hitlers is silly in a show that's trying to be all "FRIENDSHIP, FORGIVE, UNDERSTANDING." I already brought up Gundam, but I'll point out that while the shows do that and also show sympathetic members of sides like The Principality of Zeon (who are more or less the Axis from WII combined into one) they:

A. Make it a rule to kill off or otherwise seriously punish their Hitlers.

B. Try to show the villains have at least some grievances with the current societal system in their settings and/or are acting from extremes to fix a problem.

Even then it doesn't always work for Gundam. It sure didn't work for SU.

If the show wants to give a message of “always try and talk things out and people who truely want to try and reptent desrve to be forgiven”, then I say let them. It may not be completely realistic, but the show was never one for realism anyway. I liked how the show went, but I can also understand why people would be upset by it.
I wouldn't say anyone here's "upset" by the prospect of a show wanting to be about forgiveness & diplomacy so much that Steven Universe is an example of preaching those things at the expense of it's own plot, characters, & believe-ability, and isn't even a very good representation of those morals/themes to boot. I'm pretty sure everyone in this thread can name at least 5 different films/shows that handle similar themes and topics as SU with much more grace and without sacrificing a satisfying conclusion - which is probably what's ultimately going to cut SU's lasting impact and shelf life in half.

Plus, as I said before, wanting to make a show about peace and friendship and not destroying your enemies doesn't need to mean ignoring glaring flaws in the morals being preached like "regret = absolutely no consequences" or "if you don't feel like forgiving someone who did any number of heinous things to you, then you're the REAL asshole" or even just the massive paradox with Marty being shown as irredeemable just because he's a low-level jerk, two minor characters disproportionately getting season-long redemption arcs, but the planet-destroying dictator just needs to blush for the 5 minutes of screen time she has in an hour-long special to be fully cured of all wrong-doing.

I'm pretty sure even kids see the flaws in this thinking the first time they get their ass kicked on the playground.

This show is still going?

But...why?
Merchandising despite its apparent lack of it. The series still has regular comic book releases (from Boom! Comics no less) and some merchandise is slowly cranked out via CN's online store, Hot Topic, and various conventions. They even announced a set of trading cards recently that fans will go crazy over.

Well, that and the series being a thing in the LGBTQIABBQ community and having said undertones in the show. Other CN shows occasionally dip their feet into it but none so much as SU does.
Because the fans are exceptional individuals who won't let it die like it needs to, for being a bad show. Worse so than the equally bad-at-their-jobs crew working on it.

I could say the same thing about Star Vs, as well. Fight me.
To be fair the SU fandom has calmed down considerably after the Zamii incident occurred, everyone realizing how fucking bonkers they were getting, and hiatuses wearing everyone ragged. I don't see much of the Star Vs. but I do know the shipping scene there is fucking insane, the recent episodes have been sending the fandom into a fucking fervor.

And as for the staff bit that's largely in part due to Sugar being hands-off (in terms of artistic consistency) to allow the boarders' styles to be more apparent in the episodes they work on. Does that make the show any more shit than what being cranked out of CN today? Probably, I know there are some episodes I know to be shit/snoozefests when the names of certain storyboarders pop up in a certain episode's opening credits.

Both shows are guilty of being shit writing-wise, but at least Sugar had the decency to fire Lauren Zuke (if you believe her claims of leaving CN by choice then you're an idiot) when Lapis/Peridot shipping rotted her mind and started to become more apparent in her episodes and stick to the show through SU's Change Your Mind special while Nefcy mentally checked out of Star Vs. after The Battle for Mewni was completed and allowed Sabrina Cotugno to hijack the show's writing from that point on.

To be fair I don’t think SU’s confusing continuation specifically is the fault of the fans per se but the Crewniverse being retarded since they spent 4 seasons farting about with inconsequential nonsense, panicking when it wasn’t clear if they would get another season and thus deciding to blow through the final Homeworld arc for season 5, only to find out they were cleared for a 6th season after all.
