In a SLIGHT break from the movie's release, Cartoon Network announced a third SU video game just recently, judging by the CG's newer designs being used in the screenshot it'll take place between Change Your Mind and the movie.

The only "downside" is that it's only been confirmed for the Apple Arcade as of now.
Wow, a mobile game... Sorry, but it's just a mobile game, there isn't much to really care about unless it's going to be a third entry in the "The Light" RPG Series.

It’s called “Unleash the Light” and enemies from previous entries in series can be seen in the screenshot.

Well color me shocked.
I know, I think part of the reason why CN moved back to the mobile market is due to how many bugs and glitches were present in Save the Light at release. That said, moving it to Apple Arcade and NOT giving any indication of releasing it on other platforms is just bad form.

Ouch, Warner Bros. took down the “Other Friends” video.

That said the similarities are because of the music genres the songs are based in, Minnie the Moocher is a classic example of jazz while Other Friends is anchored in electro swing (a fusion genre that incorporates swing music with more recent genres like electronic dance, hip hop, and house.

Also, fans have found eerie similarities to another song out there...

I made the mistake of reading YouTube comments on clips from the movie. Whole hot of hardcore hate on Rose, saying Greg would have never loved her if he know, blaming her for everything, ect. Which to an extent, I get. A lot of what she did had unforeseen consequences and made a mess of things later on down the line. But she didn’t intentionally set out to do all that, yet people act like she did all this stuff gleefully and maliciously. She was young(in Gem) years and shortsighted, not cruel and manipulative.

And yeah, the stuff with Spinel sucked, but I don’t think Rose expected her to literally not move from one spot for thousands of years.

Sometimes people just don’t like you the same amount you like them. It’s sucks, and it hurts, but you have to accept that in the end.

Rose still isn't terribly likable though considering all the damage she left behind. Unintentional or not, having to see her son constantly have to fix her mistakes doesn't leave much of a warm fuzzy feeling for her character. The goal at the end of the day is to make Rose seem flawed and complex, which I totally get. But the way they frame the narrative and have the characters react just ends up backfiring and all the viewer gets is a bad taste in their mouth.

So I'm not the biggest Steven Universe fan... Call me someone who occasionally watches with interest...

I've seen some random episodes (especially recently), and quite a few of the major ones, and also the movie... It seems like people in general let the other diamonds off the hook a hell of a lot lighter than they let off Steven's mom...

I've seen enough to know that Steven's mom lied to a lot of her friends, in ways that hurt them a lot... but why does that somehow make her less redeemable than her *literally* genocidal sisters? If it's because she died, then that's a stupid answer... because she died opposing said genocidal sisters (even if it was for selfish reasons.) I'm not saying she's blameless, just that the show I've seen clearly wants us to forgive the other diamonds, but still blame Steven's mom for everything under the sun, it makes no sense to me

The show has always felt like a half-finished sketch to me. Underneath it all, there's some good ideas, maybe even the potential for GREAT ones. But the show doesn't know what its full direction or vision is or how to make it work. If it wasn't made by literal Tumblr folk that mostly just want to mull around with millennial humor and shipping, it could do some really ballsy things and have a clear process and flow for its stories and characters, even with the risk that it would piss off easily-offended dangerhairs.

There is a really good show underneath all this messy uneven Tumblr fodder and I forget that sometimes. I doubt its full potential will ever be realized though, especially when the only genuinely lovable characters at this point are a middle-aged slacker dad and a space rock Cuphead character with abandonment issues.

..... And, as usual, THIS continues to be the only place to discuss this easy-to-bash / hard-to-defend children's cartoon with some actual common sense / sanity on the whole fucking internet. FACT.

And yet It's sad (IMHO) that other than maybe Greg and Steven going on adventures fused like they were, a la some Shonen joint, there really aren't any more places to truly go without it turning into The Loud House or some other boring comedy like that, honestly.

You guys and your optimism is admirable, but besides keeping it calm & collected, I gotta be real here. Especially as someone who was once on-board, before rightfully getting pissed off and turning against it, sadly.

Speaking of Greg, I always thought he got a lot more shit from the Crystal Gems than he deserved. It wasn't his fault that Rose chose him and it frustrated me seeing him get shit from Amethyst and Pearl about it.
