Looks like our good old friend The Quartering made a response video
So according to the Twitter replies, some people seem to think that the people dunking on the Video are forgetting about the similar ones in the past.

I don't think people shitting on the PSA are saying the others didn't happen, they're shitting on it for doing exactly what the older PSAs did. I fail to see how that's a "gotcha!" moment.

Inb4 they retcon it saying, "We did have a plotline planned out, but we decided it was easier to cut out everything that only focuses on what's important for kids to learn."

That's nothing, take a look at this recent episode of Victor and Valentino with this creepy character played by one of the show's crew members, it's got some very creepy undertones for some reason

Did i mention that the person who voices this character looks like this https://tw.tinf.io/miggsboson/status/1287641129442131968

They have the character reaching his fingers underneath the skin of his own face so it's obviously trying to be creepy for shock/humor value. But again we have another instance of a CalArts show not considering the inappropriateness of a kid going around a strange guy's house in his underwear. Which I think can be traced to the design philosophy of unsexing things. Their designs round out everything, in order to make the character cuter or more childish, to the point where unless you get a hint from the clothes, you can barely tell if a character was meant to be male or female. So it's easier for the cartoonists to start ignoring the fact there could be sexual interpretations (or rather the designs are so far removed from reality it's hard to see them as people).

Also doesn't help that the song doesn't have any creativity and is practically just repeating "BE COMFORTABLE IN YOUR SKIN" over and over, so out of context it's like the guy is telling the kid to be comfortable naked in his house.

I guess that makes sense, the episode is still creepy either way

Here's the full episode if anyone would like to judge for themselves

I'm pretty sure anyone who does this CalArts shit has said that to a kid at some point.

That’s pretty much a given, this shitty PSA could easily be plopped into the 90’s without context and possibly be largely ignored like the others were.

Another thing I’ve been noticing is that people are saying that the PSA talks DOWN to kids instead of treating them as equals. I know we all like to treat kids like nasty little snot-goblins here but if you want a lesson to stick you NEED to treat them on the same level you’re at, otherwise they’ll just ignore the message or DO THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF WHAT YOUR PSA IS TELLING THEM WHAT NOT TO DO.

Hell, if Rebecca and Ian are the victims of a hate crime in Minecraft and it’s later learned that the perps are kids after they put this out then I only have one thing to say to ‘em:

I really should stop going to /co/ so much. I’m just a glutton for punishment.

The context was a thread that shat on anime for not being progressive enough in comparison to Western animation. There was even one going on about how brave and stunning Sugar is.

>Children's Television Network
Well, he's right about that part at least. Everything else is just fag autism

Why....
I watched this through the embed on the front page of KF, and I legitimately couldn't tell if it was satire or not. I was legit uncertain, I had to google it to find the answer.

The "wedding" remark at the end pushed me more towards "This has to be parody". Seriously, what the fuck was that? It's like real life stonetoss.

From the /co/ thread:

"Really funny how genuinely horrified the kid sounded when he was apologizing after fingers got pointed at him. It almost sounded like his entire career and future would be on the line for holding an opinion even slightly off color to his contemporaries beliefs or something. Glad stuff like THAT doesn't actually happen in real life."

Yeesh, I remember when /co/ used to rip into Sugar for being a hack and now I miss it. Also...

You gotta love some of 4chan's resident shitposters, even the Tailsposter is calling them out on their bullshit and he usually sticks to /vp/'s furfag threads.

EDIT: Holy shit, that Bench Tails pic has been up for more than 4 hours. I think that might be a first for him.

I don't know if this has been posted before, but I found a redraw of a SU screenshot, which I thought looked way better than the original, especially with a more vibrant color tone and far better on-model poses.

I do feel you guys may like it, so I've decided to post it here, and this comparison really goes to show how SU's animation has really deteriorated over the years and gone increasingly off-model.

I remember this; back when SU Critical was still popular and it was cool to bash SU, a popular pastime was redrawing screenshots of basically every episode that was coming out. Some were better than others and even the better ones annoyed the fanbase after a while.

Of course, even back in the older episodes you had weird off model moments that can’t really be explained away. When your design philosophy is “It’s on model if we can recognize it”, there’s no where to go but down. See OK KO for a more extreme example.

Did anything new happen or is this just speculation?
Just pure speculation on my part due to Rebecca Sugar being a pedo or whatever, but my remark was more about how most people who are "woke" turn out to have the most skeletons in their proverbial closet and among those skeletons are but not limited to racism/pedophilia/homosexuality etc.
