I assume this has been suggested, but I think a badge system would be better than the reaction score system. Everyone starts with a bronze kiwi,
1,000 points = silver kiwi / 5,000 points = platinum kiwi / 10,000 points = gold kiwi / 20,000 points = diamond kiwi / 50,000 points = godly kiwi
But if you get -100 points when you start with a bronze kiwi, you get a turd badge, -500 points = trashcan / -1,000 points = indian flag / -5,000 points = satanic symbol

i like it, i even liked the yahoo answers system of chosen answers getting more points to encourage genuine answers and effortposts over shitposting (though the competitive aspect got stupid, especially with shitposts or very low effort answers getting picked often over ted talks)

but it's just kind of a fundamentally flawed system due to people, because on paper, everyone would act normal, and then if they were a menace to society, they'd flux between turd badge and low kiwis, if they were helpful or a funny menace, then high kiwis. but in reality, among other things it would encourage dick stroking and discourage wrongthink. like why the fuck would i go into a "love" thread and say "actually here's my essay on why it sucks" if it's going to start a shitstorm to maybe get one person to go "damn nigguh you right", AND I lose 15 kiwi kredits? the red/blue pol threads already have (x) good [10 stickers] x12 (x) bad [10 stickers] x12, but with a credit system it'd get even worse. you'd have people like hollywood hulk hogan wanting to get bad boy points and on every single kirk/good etc post trying to ragebait tf out of it, people learning how to game the system to be as annoying a faggot as possible without being directly bannable to farm neg ratings, and "i hate (x)" "yep, i also fucking hate (x)" type shit to crowd upvote. you'd discourage contrary opinions and encourage rage baiting.

the other thing is too damn many muffuckers, even on this site, treat neg ratings like a kid being told if he gets all a's he'll get quadruple allowance. if you start doing rewards based on it, any matter of shit is up in the air. i'd expect the man hate club/trump enslavement club in particular, or others, don't fuckin @ me, to start raiding the profiles of any drive by negraters and group negrating in response etc. just a big can of shit that could be opened when people are so retarded over "positive" and "negative". could get 500 damn trash cans and it wouldn't matter, because people aren't/shouldn't checking your profile rating, and shouldn't be checking your post history like a fucking reddit mod, but each individual post, but omfg someone rated something dumb, here's a page and a subthread

It’s a good idea if you could “buy” a rank or stickers with reaction scores so people don’t have to be afraid of losing it. I actually changed my behavior radically once the reaction score turned only positive/negative, I’ve become a lot more honest on my opinions regardless of whether they’re popular or not and I’m not afraid of trash or hats tarnishing my score.
