Does anybody understand what the current terf bloodletting is about?
can't decipher it. way over my head.
what I know so far:
Started with the AGP tranny attending the Genspect conference in Denver, early November.
Some of the attendees were his friends; this tranny is careful not to call himself a woman, but I guess like most of them, wrote some book with questionable content that upset the terfs.
Not sure exactly what? possibly alludes to children being trans or gender-nonconforming?
Whatever it was = set off the gung-ho terfs.
Heather Heying says the controversy is about being subjected to someone's fetish but others argued back: aren't we subjected to fetishes all the time without fully realizing it?
Helen Pluckrose chimed in, said men can dress how they want and no, you can't police the REASONS every man decides to dress a certain way in public.
Yesterday Benjamin Boyce did big interview with Parker Posey/KJK and this other British feminist I never heard of, Stella O'Malley, who did a documentary about trans in UK:
On twitter and elsewhere, Debbie Hayton comes off as one of the 'good' trannies, but in the clip from the documentary, is a creepy old man and his almost-Stepford wife acts like some wide-eyed limp dishrag, practically inviting comments from terfs that he abuses her.
well known British terf Linda Blade enjoyed the interview and said it "resolved some confusion I had about the controversial tweet"..
i have no idea of the tweet they refer to or what this means.
terfs unfollowing each other in droves.
this is a major ideological split happening, but i can't really pin it down other than what Heather wrote, which was widely retweeted.
if anybody can fill in the blanks, would greatly appreciate.
