Most parents would be nice to a kid who had a brain tumor... Most sibilings too... But not Kayla.

She's bitter because she doesn't get gifts randomly and makes up ailments because she's jealous of her younger brother with actual illnesses and problems.

(And all three brothers from Kayla's posts have interests that don't include complaining on the Internet, so they are much more adjusted. They also have friends who are IRL. I am sure these presents and parents' attention isn't what made them better people. IMHO Kayla would be a sour grape even with all the gifts and attention in the world.)

Kayla claims she has neurofibromatosis, a genetic condition that causes tumors that are benign but can cause problems with their size and placement. If her bro has it then yeah it makes sense he would've had a brain tumor. It also comes with a fourfold increase in autism prevalence (which I learned researching for this thread so thank you for furthering my education Kayla!) but that's hardly a sure bet that she has autism.

Edit to add: A lot of people in the Tumblr mental illness hugbox community just plain don't know how comorbidity works. Illness A is cormorbid with Illness B =/= every single person with Illness A also has Illness B.

They plan to meet this summer and knizie had a fundraiser for it on her blog before deleting, I doubt anyone donated though. It seems like kinzie's more into it than Kayla which is sad and ironic.

There's something slightly majestic about "sad Tumblr person strings along and neglects their sadder, very earnest Tumblr-person SO" becoming a full-fledged cycle of abuse in the Springtrapp/@Stray Sheep saga. How incredibly pathetic is Kinzie's inevitable neglected "partner" going to be?

I kind of feel her on the "just because someone's problems aren't the worst doesn't mean they don't have problems," because that kind of thinking is how you end up with endless rounds of the Oppression Olympics. (And I'm shocked to hear that sentiment from a SJW. They pretty much constantly insist that people with "privilege" aren't allowed to have problems because they aren't "oppressed.") But Kayla's real problem is that she seems to think her overall pretty minor issues are a - insurmountable obstacles, b - something she has no control over or responsibility for, or c - an excuse for never doing anything, ever.
