Stuff that makes you feel old

Wait until you hit 40.
Or 60. 👵🏼

I feel old when I realize the first movie I remember seeing was when my mom took me to see The Sound of Music, a year or two after the original release.

I feel old when I think of my dad, who flew a P-38 in WWII, and how there are only a small handful of WWII vets left.

These days, what makes me feel old is my aching body and realizing how I basically wasted many good, healthy years because I didn’t appreciate it.

And how I make grunting noises when I stand up or sit down.

Most TV shows and movies are now on streaming websites such as Netflix. Not only that physical copies are next to impossible to find at stores or online. I feel sorry for kids these days who have to sign up for membership or pirate movies just enjoy them. Even if I wasn't the biggest fan of video stores, renting movies for a few dollars is much better than any streaming site.

Last night some kid called me Mister.

“Hey mister, do you know how to get to (redacted) from here?”

*I give directions*

“Thanks mister! Have a great night!”

I’ve been called sir before but mister just felt weird. The fact I refer to someone who was probably in their mid 20s as a kid makes me feel old as well.

When you watch Tasting History and it's about something you still make.

I had exactly this in a grocery store. Some kid mocked me and said "hey nice shave Mister." Okay, I hadn't shaved for a couple days.

I just looked at his dad and his dad was like, wtf can I do and shrugged.

YouTube is recommending me lolcows who are "Next Cyrax" or "Cyrax of X". 10 years ago everyone described their lolcow as the "New Chris". The people who were born after Chris trolling started are old enough to drive. Mang...

Zoomers being completely detached from the past to the point of knowing nothing about it and even hating it is really making me feel old. I am now the old guy defending the past's honor. Granted, I like being old and getting older. But that's another topic for another time!

I've also notice that Zoomers have no respect for their past and absolutely dread getting old. This Zoomer acquaintance I know constantly shares posts on IG about "Remember this show well you're old now!" or a doom reel about turning fucking 24 years old.

I honestly don't know what's worst, Millennials in constant state of their childhood fantasy's, or Zoomers rejecting their childhood like it's a cringe old meme.
