Suggestion and Update Thread

I notice that the members section only shows the most notable members. Is there any way of doing something similar to the previous forum where they have an alphabetical index (along with symbols and numbers)?

Also, maybe you should just have bann members' usernames be black with no link since their profiles seem to get deleted.

Basically, the styling for banned users is applied when the css class "userBanned" is added to their username. However, because of XenForo working as it does, this only happens when signed in as someone who has the ability to ban. I'll be fixing this next patch.

Same with the user list. There needs to be a way to find anyone.

I like the strike through on the names of the banned.
I'm a pretty simple person

You guys wordfiltered Chris-chan and Chris Chan again. Thought that wouldn't happen, or so Null said. *sigh*

I'm considering expanding the Lolcow board. It's our second most popular forum, and threads there yield a very high Thread to Post ratio (averaging 125). We average 600 posts a day right now.

After the change, the forum structure would look like this:

  • Chris
    • Update
    • Discussion
      • What If
    • Sonichu
  • General
    • People of Interest
      • Popular Individuals (Parkourdude91)
    • Groups of interest
      • Bluepill Communities
    • Off-Topic
      • Off-Topic Boards
  • Forum
    • CWCki Forums
      • Spergatory
I'm still looking into a new layout for Sub-Forums, by the way.

I don't think it needs it, subforums are only really needed IMO to declutter and the lolcow board, whilst popular, isn't cluttered enough to require a subforum.

But if you implement it anyway cool, don't care that much.

If you need a lolcow subforum I'd suggest something like
  • General
    • Lolcow
      • Notable Cows
      • Lolcow sites/groups.
    • Off-Topic
      • Off-Topic Boards
... Im not sure of the need of the "notable cows" subforum. I guess one subforum for all the community sites would suffice (loveshies, SJW, wizards, dA people, etc.)

Well my concern is that, with like the Love-Shy and Wizard threads, we do get clutter. There's people like Cuddlebug who pumps in quotes, but then there's actual wizards who join and start conversations that last for pages. I think at the very least we could get the bluepill forum.

I agree with this. It'll allow separating documentation and discussion. We could potentially have threads where ex wizards like Obnoxion post stuff like tips and advice for depression.

First, I would rename "Off-Topic" as "Other" because otherwise it implies that Lolcows is more "on-topic" than Deep Thoughts, for example.

Also, "People of Interest" could be "Lolcows" and "Groups of interest" could be "Lolherds" if you wanted to stick with that theme.

"Off-topic" implies there was one a topic and it's now long since forgotten. Which is Off-Topic in a nutshell.

I know. And that's how it's laid out now. But where would the Deep Thoughts subforum go if it's changed, for example?

Deep Thoughts could be just a subforum in Off-Topic. Deep Thoughts is for things like debate and is very focused on subjects that might require things like science or relate to politics. Wheras Off-Topic is more general and has threads like "post some random gif" or "what did you do with your day". Since those threads are dramatically more popular, offtopic is like the filter and for all the popular specific topics like music or video games they can go to their specific thread in offtopic. One that might say have different rules relating to the topics moderated there.

I always feel a little lost in these things. I guess it's because I'm old enough to be most posters grand pappy but what is a;
Blue Pill forum?
As compared to the normal forums?

It refers to that stupid terminology that's a reference to the Matrix. Where "redpills" are people who see Feminism for the evils that it is and "Bluepills" are people who haven't yet "woken up" to it.

Ok I'm now more confused then before. ;)
Wizardchan and Love-Shy.com are communities dedicated to people who are mostly NEET and virgins. A lot of them hold severe resentment towards women.

People who call themselves experts in dating and women sometimes refer to themselves as "Redpillers" because they feel they strip away the delusions of grandeur some men give women and sex. I think this term is pretentious, but in the case of Wizards and Love-Shys it is pretty true. Since they hate Redpillers and will often create entire threads about how much they hate "alpha male pickup types", I've decided Bluepill (the other option given during the Matrix movie) would be an apt description for these communities.

they should find a better movie franchise to steal terminology from
