So you know exactly how much your hugbox approves of what you're reading instead of deciding what you think about it yourself?

Have you contemplated a return to reddit? And if you've never been there, it seems like a very nice place for what you're suggesting.

Have you considered what kind of forum your idea would create, if you implemented it?

Because if so, such a forum already exists. It's called reddit. If that is to your liking, GO THERE.

And if not, stay here. I mean I don't want to be hostile or anything.

It's not an issue of engaging with bad posts, it's the shear quantity of it. Years ago it was a lot easier to ignore them, however sometimes it's pages upon pages of it.

With some of these threads it's impossible to find the point in which the actual conversation on them begins after pages of retard replies. There are serious topics that deserve actual revision of the conversation, but that conversation is so saturated with mongs that it washes away the real replies.

My point is, Redditors are the only fags who care about negative updoots enough for it to hurt their feelings, and given we've had an issue with these faggots signing up for their faggot discord drama and PA requests, maybe it might help them grasp how unwanted they are if they can see how many negative updoots they got. Was just a thought.

That's literally the problem with seeing up or downdoots as meaningful in any way.

Just because an opinion is unpopular doesn't mean it's wrong and we shouldn't fall into that mentality. If you think you're right (if you "know" you are right you are a moron), damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead.

If your point is actually that the kind of people who care about downdoots are redditors and should go back there, and might successfully be driven off by doing that, I might agree, although I don't think it would work.

I like that the featured thread feature updoots both the most liked and most hated posts equally based purely on number.

People should be exposed to things that piss them off.

It would be nice if sneedchat on mobile had some way to better handle images than manually typing image tags
 
  • A way to see a list of quotes/replies on posts, possibly as a third button next to share & bookmark
  • Ability to hide threads
  • A thread/subforum ignore user option instead of just a site wide ignore
  • Highlight to skip ignored users
  • Remove Highlight from neg-rated posts
  • Add TMI reaction to the smileys menu
  • Disable auto-smiley (on colon bracket, slash, etc.)
  • Add a Union Flag (like the pink triangle) to known Bri'ish profiles
 
add the ability to search through bookmarks based off quotes, Im not good at remembering thread names but im good at remembering what someone said in the thread usually, it would also just help people find specific quotes easier if they intended to bookmark from that point to read it later, especially for long effort posts/schizo posts.
If you think this suggestion is dumb I understand Im just a lazy nigger that doesnt want to look for things for over 10 minutes lol.

but then on _that_ post would be a link to this post, indicating there was a response here

I forget what thread but there was something that was a jillion pages and around #300 or so somebody asked a question and I really didn't want to go through all that shit just to find out if it was answered

KF mods should probably have an elment/riot or irc server appart from the talk to staff board.
 
Minor UI idea: Maybe buttons and reactions should have a little glow or shadow when you press them that fades out. It would look nice but also, when phone fagging, sometimes your finger covers some of the smaller buttons like watch so you don't see the pressed state, and also, it can be nice to see some feedback especially on reactions when the connection is hanging a little bit (other than the bar at the top of the page)
 
How about a user privacy panel? Something that will show what IP addresses are currently associated with the account, recent logons, list of uploaded content, etc.

Just stuff that exists in the current logs, no historical data.

Ok, my 3 suggestions for SneedForo.

1. a LOLCalendar. Keep track of historical dates and interesting happenings as well as upcoming stuff, like the 2074 release of Rekieta from prison. Simplifies having to sort through the thread to see the next time something is due in a case or similar.
2. A better view of archived documents/attachments. An easy way to find historical matters of public record/court docs/xeets/etc without scrolling through hundreds of pages
3. Related to 2. Auto OCR of documents/screenshots/etc and maybe even transcription of videos. Make stuff searchable(and an improved search engine). Obviously some PDFs come in with text easy to extract but other stuff would require machine learning, which would obviously require additional hardware.
