Rather than zapping the buttons, "disable" them and give helper text explaining, something simple

Reply bug is being a bitch again. All I'll say further on the topic is that while I was being somewhat hyperbolic, your odds of getting bothered by the cops for hiring prostitutes in the US is quite low. You'd basically have to be picking up a streetwalker outside of a police station or a school in order for the cops to actually bother arresting you for it in most cases.

To quote part of one of my own posts on the topic: "The most you realistically risk legally is having to pay a fine in the majority of the US and even that is unlikely because, again, the cops largely don't care unless you're doing it right outside a school or some shit."

Yeah the new system is really good. I actually tried to reply to someone and couldn't do it. BUT the fact the button was white clued me on being intentional and the message got me to understand it.

Please feature this. The number of absolute mongoloid bitchniggers complaining that the button shows up but doesn’t work is way too damn high.

Attention "bitchniggers",

In certain contexts, you will see white-out buttons like this:

These buttons mean you can quote in that thread and board, but you cannot quote this entire post. There's 3 reasons why:

• Community Happenings thread does not allow quote-replying to stop people from doing so accidentally.
• No OP of any thread can be quote-replied to. You're posting in the thread, so it is already obvious you're replying to that post.
• Very long posts cannot be quote-replied in full.

For those instances, there is still a way to quote-reply to a specific part of the post. Simply highlight what you're replying to.

You can then reply to this directly in the reply box as normal.

This feature also works with the multi-quote system, so you can reply to individual parts of multiple large posts at once.

Once you use +Quote, you then click this button on your post editor.

This does not work without JavaScript, for the three of you using Tor without JavaScript.
