Why not just add a 10-15 minute timer to post to accounts that have a negative overall rating? If a child can't play nice you put them in time out. Or alternatively a thread timer that increments based on number of posts a day on that thread so you can't spam posts one after another, sure they'd just edit the old ones but that's still less shit to scroll through when they start some pointless flame war.

The way I see it, it's a relatively small change that will disproportionately affect dramaslop YouTubers. They would now have to go and download entire streams (which might be deleted), find timestamps, and clip out portions themselves. This time adds up and, in my estimation, is not insignificant. No one will use NiggerBlock clips lest they censor 90% of the clip and render the content moot. Perhaps Null could implement it in such a way that he can still pull the original clip if he wants to use it on streams.

YouTubers make millions off of lazily aggregating and regurgitating the work of people who actually care enough to do the legwork. Seems gay to me.

I HOPE this would be a relatively easy ask but, could we make the "MEDIA" option for posting work with kiwi farm direct links to mp4s, images, sound files and the like? like say I want to insert This link as a media without downloading AND uploading again, I could just shove it into the media function, and it shows up in a post.

My reasoning for this is one, it saves on hard drive space if stuff is posted in multiple places, if it simply references where its already posted, and 2, could potentially offer easier posting for stuff like community features IF someone instead of downloading a big MP4, simply links it with the media button, and it just appears there instead of needing to be downloaded / uploaded AGAIN.

I could even see this taken a step further if identifying IDENTICAL files could keep a singular file, but just have it channeled to multiple posts, but that seems far more difficult than JUST allowing the media to check for a kiwi farms mp4, which could ALREADY be ripped and reuploaded to another post anyway.

If theres already a way to do this, please tell me and subsequently call me a retard.

Better still, create a feature where known Shartfugees are thread locked to their containment thread. I rarely see one of them venture out of their thread with anything worthwhile to post.

I know that Invidious has many instances, but is there a way we can have the ability to embed video links from Invidious and have the forum recognize them as videos to embed, complete with the player? Vanilla YouTube is practically unusable with all of its ads, and direct video uploading is not feasible for larger videos.
