Maybe more Lolcow subforums for some of the bigger themes? Like an SJW/Gamergate subforum and/or a Horrorcow subforum? Both of those categories seem to be numerous and have well-defined subject matter, so it'd be easier to group them together by theme than a more general lolcategory like "Deviant" or "Insane."

We had some thing like that with the "Blue Pill" forum some time ago, but I think lack of activity or some reason got it removed and the threads folded back into Lolcow.

Good point. Maybe we could have a permanent "overflow" Lolcow subforum that would change depending on which theme was currently popular. Kind of like how chat now has the general tab and the "overflow" tab for when something big like a Jace livestream happens, y?
 
Well shit, looks like there's a bubonic plague outbreak in Madagascar.

My rule still stands - if I find out you're purposely spreading the plague, you're getting banned here. It's the least I could do for society. Not as bad as ebola but the plague is nasty stuff.

If you get the plague, spread it, but you don't know, again, that's fine, you didn't know. But if you do it on purpose, you're an asshole.

Isn't Madagascar supposed to be the one place that is impossible to get diseases into?

just from casual observation, It seems that this website has significantly more traffic than it did earlier this year when the blue/red pill was a thing.

maybe divide lolcow into subforums by theme, and also have a visible list of the top 5 trending threads so it's easier to locate specific threads for those just browsing.
 
How about removing ratings because they merely encourage group think and cause band wagoning on unpopular opinions.

I even naively pushed for non-anonymous ratings. But I think the ratings experiment in general has been a net negative, because holy hell the madfeels and drama.

Golden Knight's deleted his internet history and hasn't been active in a month so now it's turning into spergy speculation. Time to send his subforum to the spergatory. May God have mercy on the children of suburban Baltimore.

Every time a post gets rated 'dumb', it should automatically be flagged for Hellblazer to deal with.
