Plagued Super Smash Bros. Community

Ehh,I’m not too bothered about the final character being Sora, I think it makes the most sense because he seemed like the least likely character to ever be in smash, technically being from a Disney franchise, and that would’ve been a far more challenging licensing agreement from a global animation Company Disney who are known for practically defining cartoons and the animated film genre rather than games. I’m personally sad Crash bandicoot isn’t included because he seemed like the most logical fun choice given the characters relevance and resurgence in recent years but that’s just me, watching this seethe by rosterfags and smashtards is always entertaining.

Sora is fascinating because he was apparently the most requested character by fans so it must've had to be dealing with a lot of stuff since it was hard to get his rights back then (which had Bayo get in so thanks Square for being fickle fucks). Like while there is Disney shit, Sora is more from Square so Nintendo had to deal with both Square who are fickle as fuck, and Disney who probably wanted to minimalize their presence with how there is lack of Disney shit. Must've been challenging to do but it is an interesting thing.

Waluigi was an Assist Trophy since Day 1, when the game was shown off 3 fucking years ago. He was shown off at E3 2018 getting his shit kicked in.

That's some hardcore coping.
Yep and Sakurai openly did not like the Waluigi fans who sent him death threats yet they still think he has a chance.

We're not the only ones who were pulling for Crash, but like I said earlier, Sakurai seems heavily slanted towards Japanese franchises, Banjo and Minecraft aside. Why else would we get so many of the so-called "generic animu swordfighters"?

I admittedly haven't played much Smash so the final reveal didn't mean much to me, but I enjoy seeing the reactions (the reactions of all the previous reveals). With that being said, I had no idea that so many people unironically wanted Waluigi in the game. I thought the majority of them were just making memes.

it's always funny how the fallback when people get pissed about characters being suggested they don't want at times is just "smash bros is a game for children!" As the guy replying to the guy that was replying to the dark souls joke guy stated, Doomguy's in smash (as a mii). It's not just him, though. Travis Touchdown's in smash (also a mii), Dante from the Devil may cry series is guest starring in smash (mii as well), bayonetta's in smash, solid fucking snake has been in smash for the last 3 games. It's not kids they're trying to draw in with those. Smash is a fun party fighting game anyone can play, but also a celebration and tribute to video games as a whole. They wouldn't be building stages that are elaborate HD recreations of N64 and PS2 game maps if it was just a "no effort game for babies/kids" like some of these guys go on about. It's fucking surreal watching both sides just go at each other lmao.

I said it before, but the amount of hysterical people and ridiculous opinions of Sora becomes the next addition to Smash Bros. Ultimate will make the recent hysterical opinions of adding anime-influenced fighters look cumbersome.

I can see why people like using this meme. It just gets straight to the point.

>Its a game kids love
>Aint gonna stop me from crying about it

I mean shit I kind of have to respect that

I mean, literally every hobby has autist weirdos. I think Sonic games are a better game to ask this about.
I would say the Sonic fandom is self contained. The Smash community gets competitive. Moreover, they transformed a party game into a fighting game scene with "meta" and Nintendo is distancing themselves from it aside from sales.

That's the problem with Crossovers. It may be a party for a certain group but once the end comes, its over and it will all be forgotten. The nature of cross overs is simple: what if x meets y. And if you fuse this with fictional characters, this will attract autists of any kind. As a result, when the party ends, the organizers move on and create the next big consoomer product.

I swear, this is why collaborations of any kind are retarded. Is there any collab in there that does not result in full retardation?

For me, I would have liked Nightmare from Soul Calibur, but I would be lying if I wasn't lowkey excited for Sora. Fitting too, since the last character was Kazuya Mishima, the Iron Fist of Darkness. On the bright side, I expect character addition mods to go into complete overdrive after the 18th. After all, Championship Edition already added Akuma and Giga Bowser as playable fighters.

Crossovers are retarded because it attracts autists? Shit. A lot of things are retarded in that case.

I made an explanation on why crossovers are retarded in the Unpopular Opinions thread if you want to see my reason.
I get what you mean but, for Smash's case, the game is in its nature very silly. Characters from IPs as serious as Metal Gear and silly as Super Mario coming together to beat the shit out of each other? Can't get anymore ridiculous than that.

You can't really make a case for the game's environment when, outside the story I guess, it never intended to that serious or to fit together artstyle-wise (especially for the artstyle as that contributes to making the characters stand out). Otherwise we would have gotten something like what the artists for God of War did.
