Easier like charge moves being slightly easier on Japanese sticks or a Korean lever being able to return to neutral more quickly so backdash canceling is easer, or like the hitbox crossup where you have a lever and movement buttons to make things that have to be hard for balance reasons piss easy? I intentionally avoid learning too much about Smash for sanity’s sake.

This fucker is out of his dam mind. He's going so far to quote pseudo science bullshit about what a profile pic you use means. I used fucking anime DPs as a kid just because that character was cool ill use him as a DP. It doesn't say boy i want to be that person or identify with them.

I hate Leffen as much as the next guy especially with how much he rides Melee and tries to denounce any other fighting game (and also sucks at them, considering his Tekken playstyle if you can call it that), but this is no longer living in your head rent free. He's been in your body and soul and you're paying the premium.

People who still play Melee competitively are a step beyond being autistic. They probably have legit brain damage. There's only so much time you can play the exact same game, with the exact same characters, the exact same moves, and the exact same techniques over and over again. There's nothing left to discover. The dead horse has been beaten so much it's little more than a bloody mushy horse pulp. Go home.

In this case it's just the controller with movement buttons only that get smash autists really mad because you're able to turn your character around much quicker and much more precise, making tech like short hopping around and shooting lasers at the same time easier

But if you ask me, just being able to do tech without having your hands break apart is a big advantage over the gamecube controller

Tbh the same could be said about speedrunners in general. There's a point where you realise dedicating twenty years to shaving half a second off a speedrun of Sonic 2 MIGHT be a waste of your life.

This one is more memorable not just because of how applicable "DID HE JUST WALK UP SLOWLY AND--" is, but also, BobbyScar, the man who uttered the phrase, has a twitch emote thanks to the quote (PeoplesChamp)
