Super Smash Bros.

I was going to buy Smash on 3DS today, but with the level of criticism compared with it's Wii U release, I decided to go with the new Zelda instead.

I would just simply get the Wii U version by this point since it's the superior version of the game (unless you want both versions of course).

On the subject of DLC (assuming we get more after Mewtwo), I'm wondering how they'll do trophies for characters that already have on in the game. Mewtwo has a trophy in the 3DS version so maybe they'll make a new one based on his character render?

That's what they'll do. It's not like its a huge deal that the character already had a trophy.

Back in Melee they had those classic trophies whose models were more like when the character first appeared.

I only have the 3DS version, and thats because I can't afford a Wii U, or even the 60 dollar game.

The 3DS version works with fine to me, I just have difficulty with some of the characters. Like, I can see myself playing as Link, Kirby, or even Sonic, but other characters like Pikachu or even Ness I have trouble with. I don't understand though, what's so bad about the 3DS version of SSB?

Besides literally everything?

It held back a gigantic amount of potential from the Wii U version. There's literally only around 10 stages that look like something only a high powered platform like the Wii U can pull off.

It was why there are no Ice Climbers, because they couldn't get them to work on 3DS and Sakurai was adamant that the two games have the same roster and same mechanics. Depending on what you believe, there may have been more characters that were cut because they didn't work.

Instead of putting more time and resources into new characters, veterans and stages we get a watered down cash in on the 3DS. It plays fine, but it stops the Wii U one from having anything astonishing.

They should have made it its own game and not forced them to be interconnected because it just didnt work and it made it worse for everyone.

Edit: oh, and some characters got fucked because the 3DS couldn't handle their gimmick. Olimar kinda needed that 4th Pikmin you know...

I managed to get both Pikachu and Fox amiibos. I heard Fox is starting to get hard to find so I got lucky in finding it. This time, I want to level them up with no stat increase as opposed to my Marth. Might provide interesting results, I can use when Shulk comes out later. As soon I get eight amiibos, I will have them go all out in eight player smash.

I'll be getting my sixth tomorrow for my birthday. Little Mac's already on the table, I just can't open it yet though. I was supposed to get Captain Falcon tomorrow too, but he hasn't shipped yet for some reason...

I played Yoshi yesterday and people were not kidding, he got buffed. He's really quick with great recovery. I got to play more of him. His playstyle fits me so far.

Does anyone buy those dumb amiibo figs? I bought a Falcon one today because I knew I could flip him on ebay if I got tied of seeing him plus there's a clear stick up his ass.

Meh, I never cared about Amiibo.

Sure they're far better than level 9 CPUs, but the concept of NFC figures never appealed to me since Skylanders became a thing. They would be nice to collect you could spend the money on them.

OH MY GOD I NEED TO PLAY THE GAME THIS SONG IS FROM IMMEDIATELY
Shame on you for never playing either Baten Kaitos Game for Gamecube. They're both fun turn-based RPGs with card-based battle systems.

Only have the 3DS version for now, but I have a friend with the WiiU one. It's pretty great. Nice mix of Brawl and Melee's gameplay. I'm sad that Lucas and pretty much all Mother 3 content got cut, but on the plus side Magicant was my single most wanted stage period, and I got it. So that's something.

So glad Peach is back to her former glory. Also can't wait for Duck Hunt's Amiibo to come out because he's a brilliant character. Great legacy character, fun as hell to play, and nobody saw it coming. Perfect.

Eh, the voice acting in the first one is like Resident Evil 1 but not funny. I couldn't get through it because of that.
