They were a cult hit, reviewed pretty well. I'm no good at the game, but I could see why people would want it. Though now that I think about it, the Chorus Kids would probably be pretty similar.

Aside from Crash as mentioned before, I'm so content with who's already in I can safely say I want Sans just to witness the internet implode on itself in a glorious meme hellfire. In the past I decided against such a dumb idea but now? I got Ridley, I got King K. Rool, I got motherfuckin' Banjo-Kazooie, the chaos Sans would cause is welcome to reign free for all I care.

To be honest, I'd cut Rosalina for Midna & Wolf Link and have them use the puppet fighter gimmick.

Also the Black Knight from Fire Emblem is my currently most wanted newcomer, now that K. Rool and Banjo made it in. You guys think Smash could use yet another swordie?

I'm still hoping for dante and doom slayer, but now I kinda want to see crash and spyro because it would be sorta cool and would round out the list of totally radical 90's platformer mascots

Steve does tick all the boxes for being a good character for Smash:

-Originally from a video game
-Very well known
-Unique mechanics in his own game
-Recognizable in silhouette
-Could even bring along a great-looking stage
-Endermen would be a good assist trophy

Though if I had my pick, at this point, I'd like to see a GTA character. Maybe the GTA5 protagonists in a three-pack, like a mix of Pokemon Trainer and Shulk's different modes. Trevor with high attack, Franklin with high speed, and Michael with high defense.

Or Doom Slayer. Something that could represent American gaming.

I am in support of Crash Bandicoot as a DLC character since we already have Sonic. Of course, you can include Spyro in that same package.

As for other DLC ideas? I'd say we get more M-rated "edgy" characters for that extra mile. Given that Bayonetta is on the roster, and Solid Snake was in the franchise at one point, it's not entirely out of the question.

You could include some Resident Evil characters since RE4 and the remake of RE1 were originally Gamecube games and given the presence of Street Fighter characters, Capcom is more than willing to work with Nintendo on this.

Alternately, I would love to see some GTA characters, either CJ from San Andreas or the three protagonists from GTA V.

Heck, if they could get the licensing, I'd do a whole DLC pack around GTA and its derivatives including CJ, Claude Speed, Niko Bellic, and the trio of Michael, Franklin, and Trevor alongside Vito Scaletta since Take-Two owns both Mafia and GTA

Aside from Chun Li * for biased reasons * or a Fire Emblem character like Camilla or Cordelia * I know traaaash! but I'd like to see how Smash would handle mounted fighters * what I'd really want is Scorpion from Mortal Kombat for the sheer meltdowns he would cause in Nintards who lost their shit at Bayo's inclusion for not being child friendly pureness. * bonus points if he has "sweat" instead of blood to reference the infamous censoring of the first MK on SNES to piss off MK fans too *

I know it'll never happen since his series is dead in Japan though.

It'd be a million times better than Banjo-Kazooie. Crono and Frog easily have more than enough personality to be more than just another generic anime guy with a sword. If Chrono Trigger ever had a chance at getting in though, Dragon Quest just completely killed it.
