This comment has been licensed by The Walt Disney Company.Everybody quote this so that if/when he's proven wrong, we can all say "Hah! Nintendo got you, nigga!"
That actually sounds really cool, and I hope it pans out. Only issue I can see is having to wait over a year for it to come out in Early Access. In other news, have you guys heard of the upcoming game "Fraymakers"?
It's a platform fighter, made by the same Devs that made Super Smash Flash 2, that seemingly plays similarly to Smash Bros. with it's main appeal being that it's a celebration of indie games. It plans on having some pretty interesting stuff like a Character creator called "Fraytools" that allows you create your own fighters and Assist characters.
You can learn more about it on their kickstarter:

But don't you get it? It's the latest brand new Internet hot trend! Jump on the bandwagon and angrily bash any opposing opinion without thinking! Thinking and disagreements are for bootlickers!I can't believe all the people who act completely shocked that Nintendo might want to distance themselves from... the community they always tried to distance themselves from that had a huge sex scandal this year.
Or that they stopped a stream where half the groups were telling them to support that community.
Or that they stopped someone literally repainting and reselling one of their products - no, it doesn't matter that it was for a charity, it was still reselling joy cons. They can't let that shit slide even if they wanted to.
People acting like the other companies wouldn't do those sorts of things are idiots - it's just that Nintendo's attracted the stupidest, twitteriest fans this year and this is the eventual result.
Edit:
The very fact that people are so mystified by the idea that Nintendo might not want to be associated with the Smash community right now is why I can't see the storm lasting long.
If that happens the only one who'll be swinging is me - from the rafters. It's the game awards so I expect and welcome Last of Us II's Abby swinging into the competition
I've seen Arle suggested by a few people since it's Puyo's anniversary today and PPT2 just came out.I've seen a few people suggest Jonesy from Fortnite will be next. Something about Samus possibly getting in that game and reliable leakers. I don't know.
They've also reasoned it was possible because Minecraft Steve did. Even though the reason behind Minecraft getting in is different from Fornite's.I've seen a few people suggest Jonesy from Fortnite will be next. Something about Samus possibly getting in that game and reliable leakers. I don't know.
The whole “Jonesy for Smash” argument largely falls under the same reasons that early “Steve for Smash” believers/shitposters followed and one that everybody else knows to be a minor attribute: its influence on gaming world in general. And yes, while Steve is now in Ultimate he had to wait until 7 other DLC characters had their 15 minutes of fame. Sakurai genuinely looked tired during the Steve announcement and later said in interviews that Steve’s block placement mechanic was a pain to code into Ultimate (remember that some stages needed to be rebuilt to accommodate it). While I can see Sakurai and the other Smash devs doing that once for Steve I can’t see them doing it a second consecutive time for Jonesy and Fortnite’s construction mechanic.I've seen a few people suggest Jonesy from Fortnite will be next.
Samus getting to Fortnite has about as much of a chance as Neil Druckmann shoving eggplants up his derrière and doing his special game dev dance at the VGA’s fag fair : not very likely but it’d be both funny and horrifying to watch. That said, I vaguely remember Nintendo isn’t exactly okay with their characters having playable appearances on non-Nintendo consoles. And wasn’t there an issue with Nintendo’s characters being playable on the non-GameCube versions of NBA Streets V3 Via hacking?Something about Samus possibly getting in that game and reliable leakers. I don't know.
I can’t really say anything on characters but from I’m hearing it’ll probably be character that can match the same hype that Joker got back in 2018. They have to balance out the Twitter-breaking response that Steve got earlier this year.I've seen Arle suggested by a few people since it's Puyo's anniversary today and PPT2 just came out.
And that’s ultimately what it boils down to when it comes to character selection in Super Smash Bros.: What characters are the most fun to play as?They've also reasoned it was possible because Minecraft Steve did. Even though the reason behind Minecraft getting in is different from Fornite's.
As understandable as that is, I feel like it wouldn't be too difficult given that Steve technically laid out the ground work for it.Sakurai genuinely looked tired during the Steve announcement and later said in interviews that Steve’s block placement mechanic was a pain to code into Ultimate (remember that some stages needed to be rebuilt to accommodate it). While I can see Sakurai and the other Smash devs doing that once for Steve I can’t see them doing it a second consecutive time for Jonesy and Fortnite’s construction mechanic.
