Superman’s Motto Gets a Modern Update: ‘Truth, Justice and a Better Tomorrow' - Because screw "the American way", I guess

I am a big fan of Superman and I never liked or understood what the fuck is the American Way.

I never liked the early motto anyways, I think the core of the character should always be what was in his first appearance: "champion of the oppressed". The later reboots that the boomers grew up with today bothered me to no end, and they think it was the "original" motto.

I think the new motto is better because it is more clear in its message, but lets be fucking real: it is a comic book character, if they wanted superman to fight for a better future, they wouldn't waste their characterization just punching brainiac or shit like that. This is what bother me the most is that they got right with the image above, Superman helps those in need, that is it.

@SITHRAK! Only disagreeing cause Superman loved blowing FDR's, and Truman's dick and had zero problems being a communist when a democrat is in office.

The guys of ClownfishTV vlogged about Superman colorist Gabe Eltaeb who quit the job because of the direction DC taked with Superman.

Some youtubers dropped these comments worth to share.

Octo-general Jones

Dc and marvel: we will get our customers to buy our books by saying we hate them and we hate America!!! That will make them agree with us!!!!
My hero academia: we organically introduced a powerful American female character that doesn’t talk shit about her country and has the personality of a decent human being. Also, our series ALONE sold more books this year than all of your IPs put together. And we are heavily based off of what you used to be.
Bart simpson: really makes you think

You know I'm amazed that these activist got their hands on one of the most op super heroes in comic history and the most they can think to do with him is give him a boyfriend and make him protest climate change. Its just a reflection of how uncreative they are and how little they know about these characters.

Capeshit sucks and has for the longest time.

Even when superheroes were decent, Superman was always one of the lamest, most overrated, and downright boring superheroes who only got a pass because he was one of the earliest A-Listers and because Aquaman somehow was even lamer and made him look better by comparison.

When Superman died in the 90's, he should've stayed dead.

That’s cool, no offense taken.

Also, I forgot: gay/trans/racemixing propaganda rammed into absolutely every form of media.

Twitter is now trying to imply the colorist was homophobic a d you could tell because of how hew colored.

the "improved" version looks shit as usual lmao. it's dark and desaturated because it's in a dark environment and it'd look weird having glowing purple bloom shit applied over it. Last I checked they aren't space vampires or glowies. They shouldn't be fucking glowing in the dark like that with no lightsource.
