Maybe I'm completely exceptional, but I looked a few times and didn't see any clear link to send you money. Physical goods need volume to sell well, and the payout kind of sucks.

Take a page from the videogame industry and sell virtual goods. Tons of spergs out there who will pay for virtual currency, or a dumb badge on their profile. If everything else fails, offer things that make them feel accomplished without needing common upkeep. Titles, access to "special" forums, a select list of emotes. Give the users special priority on selecting Lolcows to highlight. Make them feel like their voices change things, but don't give them any real power.

If you want to get really into it, make a page showing a monthly goal and how far you are to reaching it. Highlight top givers. Spergs love to feel special, and they love to see a numerical value. Use a banner like "Make the Cows cry a dollar at a time." or something edgy. If people feel like they're fighting against something they dislike, they're more inclined to give.

All else fails, pull a DSP and just spend a few hours begging on stream each week. I can almost guarantee that alone will gain you a "10 year legacy."

I want to do gold/silver/bronze tiers named like "1 in 10 Club" and "1 in 20 Club" etc but I also don't want to expose how much people donate, because I think that'd discourage some people.

I’d pay a subscription or one time fee to support the site, just because I use it and like it.

But consider letting ppl buy avatars for others. I remember a few annoying assholes on Something Awful probably made Lowtax a $2k a month in people buying custom titles for them (then they’d have to pay to change them back or keep that Nazi pedo rim job enthusiast avatar). People will pay $5 or $10 to flame someone that irritates them no prob.
