The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled against race-conscious programs at universities, handing a win to a group that argued that the institutions shouldn’t consider race in evaluating applications for admission.

The high court, which has a conservative majority, had been expected to return a decision that wasn’t favorable for affirmative action.

The admissions programs at Harvard and the University of North Carolina that the court considered “cannot be reconciled with the guarantees of the Equal Protection Clause,” wrote Chief Justice John Roberts in the majority’s opinion, referring to a key clause in the U.S. Constitution.

“Both programs lack sufficiently focused and measurable objectives warranting the use of race, unavoidably employ race in a negative manner, involve racial stereotyping, and lack meaningful end points. We have never permitted admissions programs to work in that way, and we will not do so today.”

He was joined in the opinion by Justices Samuel Alito, Amy Coney Barrett, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Clarence Thomas.

Technically, he only said that this decision is non-binding here and will have to be resolved in another lawsuit because Military isn't a party and it may have some permissible ability to use race.

It doesn't really matter because they will just do it some other way. I don't think that many niggers go to college anyway. No one should be going to college anymore anyway because it's just a massive scam at this point. There are no jobs for all these people with college degrees. There are only so many of these jobs that require that level of education and skill no matter what. You will end up in debt and not making nearly as much money as you thought you would.

This still doesn't address affirmative action in places of work. It also doesn't do anything about all the other race based shit the left has done to screw over white people. Like someone said they will still use race when drawing congressional districts. At the end of the day this is just another move the Republicans on the SCOTUS have made to try and make Republicans look good. Just like with the abortion ruling. It's just an attempt by GOP fags on the SCOTUS to save their preferred political party.

The universities’ main response to these criticisms is, essentially, “trust us.”
For all the talk of holistic and contextual judgments, the racial preferences at issue here in fact operate like clockwork.
While the dissent would certainly not permit university programs that discriminated against black and Latino applicants, it is perfectly willing to let the programs here continue. In its view, this Court is supposed to tell state actors when they have picked the right races to benefit.
Lost in the false pretense of judicial humility that the dissent espouses is a claim to power so radical, so destructive, that it required a Second Founding to undo.

Thomas, the spiciest:
More fundamentally, it is not clear how racial diversity, as opposed to other forms of diversity, uniquely and independently advances Harvard’s goal. This is particularly true because Harvard blinds itself to other forms of applicant diversity, such as religion.
UNC fares no better. It asserts, for example, an interest in training students to “live together in a diverse society.” (...) This may well be important to a university experience, but it is a social goal, not an educational one.
Yet, as the universities define the “diversity” that they practice, it encompasses social and aesthetic goals far afield from the education-based interest discussed in Grutter.
The antisubordination view thus has never guided the Court’s analysis because “whether a law relying upon racial taxonomy is ‘benign’ or ‘malign’ either turns on
‘whose ox is gored’ or on distinctions found only in the eye of the beholder.”
JUSTICE JACKSON then builds from her faulty premise to call for action, arguing that courts should defer to “experts” and allow institutions to discriminate on the basis of race. Make no mistake: Her dissent is not a vanguard of the innocent and helpless. It is instead a call to empower privileged elites, who will “tell us [what] is required to level the playing field” among castes and classifications that they alone can divine.

There's another section before that, which, while it doesn't invoke her much, is targeted at Sotomayor's 14th amendment nonsense ("because there were concurrent pro-nigger laws, AA is legal"). And this, in a footnote:
JUSTICE SOTOMAYOR apparently believes that race-conscious admission programs can somehow increase the chances that members of certain races (blacks and Hispanics) are admitted without decreasing the chances of admission for members of other races (Asians). See post, at 58–59. This simply defies mathematics.

So let me tell you what Russia's SCOTUS-equivalent did this week.

When the Soviets were colonizing virgin lands, Siberia and the Far East, they built public spaces for people to hang out in and store audiovisual equipment, the so-called "houses of culture", effectively secular churches. Some of these (particularly in cities) have been converted to hipster art spaces are are packed with masturbating wokies, but others are still functioning and are providing Siberian wagies with some respite from the shitty daily life.

Deep in Siberia, behind the Urals, between Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk, there's a 70k pop city named Anzhero-Sudzhensk (it's easier to pronounce than to transcribe), and in it, a gubmint office which is supposed to oversee local houses of culture. At night, this office is guarded by a night watchman on a nominal $30/month salary. This is lower than the minimum wage of $150, so the guy was actually getting $150/month.

However, night shifts legally require 30% extra pay, and the shit-eating local officials calculated that extra pay as 30% of $30, for a total of $39, then increased it to the legal minimum of $150. The watchman however argued that the 30% should apply to the topped-up minimum wage, for a total of $195.

The cunt-shitting local authorities of Anzhero-Sudzhensk fought to keep stealing the extra $45 all the way to the Constitutional Court.

The watchman won.

Many Asians come over with only a few hundred or thousand dollars in their pockets and a limited knowledge of English. Yet, thorough immense sacrifice and hard work they managed to have kids that outperform even Whites on nearly all academic measures.

Even if the Asian immigrants were better educated wouldn't America's racism keep them in poverty? Would their limited English ability affect how their children use English academically and in testing?

The truth is that while America might have been racist in the past, it values and rewards hardwork. With the hardwork of new Asian immigrants, a good deal of racist notions Americans held disappeared.

Funny how Trump getting elected has now increased racial equality. What a critical time for him to have won and been able to pick justices that weren't all activist shills. The conservative justices pulled no punches in their opinions. While I'm in favor of abortion rights, Roe v. Wade was a legal travesty and this court has been undoing a lot of damage as of late. Moreover, it's going to make leftwingers really mad and their impotence on being able to change SCOTUS rulings without passing amendments will be a great source of nourishing ragebait, I feel.
