Sweden made a deal in Friday in a meeting where there was Peter Eriksson, Minister Of Technology and Information Frameworks (MOTIF), Ben Schlomo McOven Wilson, Youtube Europe Supervisor (YES), and unnamed representatives of Google and Twitter.

The deal is about Google censoring Swedish language internet searches which preach hate speech. Also Twitter and Youtube needs to search out for Swedish hate and remove it. All the companies agreed to help Sweden. Facebook has agreed to remove Swedish language advertisements if they are seen as Russians trolling to change the outcome of Swedish elections. Russia wants Sweden to elect politicians who are against immigrants.

Sounds like the current party in power has already decided what the outcome of the election is going to be. The problem with censorship is the issue of who gets to decide what constitutes hate speech. If anything that casts the opposition party in a positive light or criticizes the current government is labeled hate speech by Russian trolls...

The Swedes are truly exceptional people, in the worst possible way. Every single questionnaire you look at when in comes to self hatred they are number 1 worldwide every time. (for example, 'Are you ok with your partner in marriage having other partners than you?' or 'Do you want more migration from outside of EU?') I sincerely doubt this is going to happen.

And its a very long trend, going back many decades.

Russians don't want their wives to get fucked by Africans when they occupy Swedish soil, obviously. The Swedish defense here is like that scene from the Hobbit movies where all the dwarves start shouting that they're full of worms and parasites to deter the trolls from wanting to eat them.

I suppose this basically means that if you live in Sweden, you won't legally be allowed to criticize the Muslim immigrants coming into your country, even if they.........idk........kinda take over your country, rape the women in it, and what not..........glad I live in America.

If you don't believe in free speech for your enemies, you don't believe in it at all.

This type of censorious, suppressive use of hate speech laws was a hazard long foreseen. However, the harpy-like screeching of SJWS and the potential application to ensure a continuous single-party rule have given such laws support over the years, and will continue to be the motivation driving them until the breaking point.

Deny a man his voice, and he will speak through action.

Obviously Russia is just at good at underwater 4d chess as Trump is; if they convince everyone rallying around nationalism is what they want, countries like Sweden will do the opposite.

The problem with censoring hate speech is this: who gets to decide what “hate speech” is? Who gets to decide what should be censored and what shouldn’t be? This is especially egregious considering that the people doing the censoring are explicitly doing so to sway the upcoming election.
