All the companies agreed to help Sweden. Facebook has agreed to remove Swedish language advertisements if they are seen as Russians trolling to change the outcome of Swedish elections. I think generally they are looking longer term at the Islamification of Europe and what that will mean for Russia in the future. A white and racially unified Sweden is much less likely to create future friction with Russia than a future Swedistan. I'm inclined to agree.

It certainly looks that way. I'm involved with a small digital-democracy startup party and I'm desperatly trying to get us off Facebook. We use it as the sole tool for organising our members, which seems idiotic to me because as soon as we're big enough to be a threat, someone will declare us a Hate Group and we'll be turned off.

For starters, they have had the longest peaceful period in the history of mankind - almost 200 years of no war. On the other hand, up to the sixties they were extremely nationalistic and openly supremacist towards other cultures - to the point that, for example, Finnish immigrant children living in Sweden weren't allowed to speak finnish in schools.

At the same time, they have really perfected the art of "Soft socialism", even more so than other Scandinavian countries. While technically speaking their economy is free market, in practice economy is heavily directed by politics and VERY STRONG labour unions. On the paper they have multi-party system, but in practice all the parties are quite similar to each other - it's not a question of do you want more or even more welfare state, but rather do you want a welfare state with market-liberal values, green values or full-on socialist values.

And then there's the academia - it's completely overrun by cultural marxism, if I've understood correctly, and has been that way for decades.

Combine all of these in the same country, and it's no wonder they want to self-destruct so badly.

Switzerland has a similarly peaceful history, but they don't seem to have all those other factors you mention, nor that "Law of Jante" thing @Marvin mentioned, which is why they don't seem to be as "progressive" as Sweden.

The Jante law is made up, of course, but it's rooted in something real. It's not necessarily a bad thing, it's a thing to ensure group cohesion and has served Sweden well in the past. Community and collectivism("we're all in this together") made Sweden develop extremely fast in the last century. Some actual Jante would be great these days to take the politicians down a couple of notches. "Mr. Prime Minister, you're a fucking welder so don't belittle the intelligence of the working class you blowhard." And if the old rules still applied that would sting him and he'd fall back on looking at others more like equals.


And speaking of politicians, the topic of this thread is about procedures to remove and memoryhole things and you can bet your ass that it will be used whenever the next politician makes an ass out of themselves and gets ridiculed on twitter, or "receiving threats and harassment" as it's called these days.
