Only select entities in Nintendo are doing that. The rest are deliberately promoting DEI, like Pokémon.

Sakurai can get away with it because Smash is essentially a golden goose for Nintendo.

Reminder: Nintendo still allowed some questionable choices done towards MARIO in the movie.

Griffin is literally replying to someone pointing out that the last time this happened the product didn't even release because it was such a bad idea and he's trying to spin it as good, actually.

I heard in one stream that Griffin identifies as a libertarian. His takes on gaming basically dwell on him having disposable income. It's not even him gatekeeping gaming based on income, it's him enabling game companies to double down on providing less for more because "he can afford it."

I know this sounds incredibly Parasocial, but he’s absolutely not a libertarian. I suppose on the gaming side of things you could be right, but on the political side of things he’s much more conservative other than his stance on abortion.

this one's real bad and I've never seen this as a talking point on any switch 2 vid:
TLDR: New physical First party game in japan: 3900 yen ($25)
everywhere else: $60 Digital and never goes on sale.

On the one hand, he's telling people not to buy the Switch, but on the other hand, he's telling them that HE will buy it because he's a 'game reviewer', only to then say he won't be reviewing most of the games on the NS2. Then why even get it in the first place? I thought the point of getting these greedy companies to stop fucking us over was to vote with our wallets?

If you are going to tell people to not buy something, it's much more effective to lead by example. Even if he was going to review tons of games on the Switch 2, out of protest against Nintendo's sleazy and greedy practices, he should refuse to buy and review any of their NS2 games.

Yes, he's correct in the points he made against Nintendo, but he comes off as a hypocrite when he's telling people not to buy Switch 2 while he admits he will buy one himself, which makes me question what his principles even are to begin with or how serious he is in following them.

I can afford the Switch 2 as well but I sure as hell wouldn't buy it for any reason because that would make me a willing participant in helping to enable Nintendo's greedy and disgusting practices.

Has anyone played South of Midnight?
I downloaded it cause i have Game Pass, i only played about an hours worth, it seemed like it was setting up that the white half of the main characters family (and her deceased father) are evil. and that Bunny her grandmother was trying to steal the magical African power of weaving or whatever.
if so cringe, if there is more to it than that and its not just demonising white people for something that happened 200 years ago, I'll give it another go.
