I quite liked the shooting mechanics in RDR2, I do agree that the mission designs were shit though. Shame we'll never get another good game, guess it's not all bad since a Max Payne 4 would probably manage to suck somehow.
I liked them too but they're not optimized for seamless gameplay; Very cinematic and floaty. RDR1 was great.
The lolcow thread is one life support, it only gets like 1-3 new posts a day and is frequently in danger of sliding off the first page of the grift wars subforum.

as a max payne game, it pales in comparison to 1 and 2. but i enjoyed 3 as a mindless shooter where i got to shoot & blow-up spic gangbangers. the soundtrack made it bearable for me.
a lot of people were heavily active, I guess some have dipped on to other boards and refuse to come here, the farms have its own base of users who are not interested in drama but were keen in watching the synth trajectory where if you go in the first few pages, people were already discussing if he is a lolcow or not. Some become regular posters but after the kirsche drama people just dipped because whether we like it or not, kirsche showed how pathetic of a subhuman synth really is when dealing with people.
Yes, a lot of people here have this view that everything is black and white. If you don't blindly interpret everything that happens in the worst possible light then you're a fanboy for your e-daddy and need to be doxed and harassed like the OP of this thread. What am I missing here? Is it nostalgia for most who have a liking for the first two games? I prefer the third one to all others. Not to say that the predecessors are worse, they're loads of fun.
Max in 3 is a Rockstar character, not the original character he was in 1 and 2, the writing is just not the same.

I have to agree on that, the writing in the first two was very much a parody of the noir-esque detective genre. 3 took a much darker and realistic tone. But since I'm a sucker for that Rockstar golden touch, I can't help but prefer 3 lol.

It wasn't what he had in mind initially, it was just a gig that he reluctantly agreed to take part in from Pasos(love that guy). It was his way of sorta getting right, and setting his mind away from the depression he'd built up prior. The shitshow that happened and the conspiracy that unraveled before his eyes set him right back to his old self. Max can only function under heavy distress and bullets flying at his face(at least after the death of Mona). He wasn't fighting for hero's sake, that environment just gave him stability.
