I still think the best thing he could do for his player character is give her a blink animation. That creepy stare...
Even better would be if he gave her a backstory. Like I said, he seems to be decent at world building. What he needs is to collaborate with someone who knows how to tell a story.

If you watch this video you can see her eyes blink, just not very often. The game does show potential and he could probably get a job in game design and programming, but he needs to learn how to work a story into the game instead of expecting everyone to go to his DA page.

Anyone else think that he generally makes shit up and then looks for a justification later? "Oh, how will I justify the oddity of ships made of breast milk?... oh, it turns out that's IS a thing! Also, he just named the terrorists akbar, which, as far as I can tell, means "great." he probably just took it from the phrase "allahu ackbar" which is probably the only arabic most westerners know, showing that he's too lazy to do actual research for so much as a name. If I were him I would name them ISIS: islamic state in space.

What I wanna know is why, when he has an intricate alternate universe where ANYTHING could happen, he would make a pseudo-racist approximation of a terrorist cell that is actually wreaking havoc in the real world. Like, he's going for a completely different scifi reality, to the point where us 'humans' don't have the right to comment on the anatomy of his characters because we couldn't possibly understand. Why put something human into your space world if humans are nearly if not completely excluded from it? And then why have it be something so controversial? That is BEGGING for trouble.

Shame that that SYRSA fellow left, he was actually getting some legitimately good feedback about his game from some of us, though it seemed he was more interested in defending the artistic integrity of jiggle physics than he was in actually discussing the game's mechanics and when he couldn't convince us the jiggle physics were absolutely necessary for his game and "TOTES NOT FETISHISTIC IN THE LEAST!" he took his ball an went home.

He did take your suggestions into his list. He's adding tutorials, an in-game library for the lore among other things, improved vehicle features, exc.
He's pretty fast with drawing, usually takes him only a few minutes to jot them up in flash.

I'm watching him code as we speak on skype, so he meant it. He may come off as defensive and counterproductive, but he really does get shit done, and he really does like entertaining people, as much as he would likely deny it.

Majority of us want these people to improve even if we come off as sarcastic. When people make the smart decision of walking away, hopefully having learned something, we normally will talk about them for a few more post and then stop caring unless they continue to throw tantrums elsewhere, however a lot of the users here will support them if they make any improvements. I don't really hate anyone except Holden because of what he stands for. I don't particularly like your attitude and i'm pretty sure that goes for most people here, but that doesn't mean I hate you.
