I've said it in the 40k thread before, but there's drive-by tourists every couple of weeks screeching about some shit they saw Grummz post, or people who haven't touched anything actually related to 40k in a decade trying to tell people "how it is" as if watching Arch is a hobby by itself.

That infuriates me to no end and I’ll never forgive them for that. Terese was a boomer lesbian who made absolutely fan-fucking-tastic art pieces for the game, and she ends up getting shafted because you can’t have wrongthink against abusive sexually-deranged men in dresses on Twitter.

She’s made some of the best art in the game and they dumped her. Fuck WOTC. I’m buying 4 copies of “Invoke Prejudice” off of eBay just to spite them.

Quite apart from the fact that I really hate this Tumblr-slop artstyle and really resent the fact that, for some reason, so much modern fantasy art now looks like this, this piece in particular is like the worst Where's Wally? I've ever seen.
Genuinely, the more that I look at it, the more things I notice, and the worse it gets.

This just occurred to me, but any theories on why this image went so viral this go-round? It isn't new; it's been around since at least 2024, posted on Hasbro and Wizards social media for Pride month that year. I've even posted it here on the Farms myself, over in the Dragon Age thread.

I mean, my guess is because everybody's absolutely fucking sick of this shit now and, now that the tide has turned, they feel emboldened and comfortable enough to say it openly (and, more often than not, relieved to find that they're not the only ones).

It's interesting to consider that the biggest development between June 2024 and this repost was the election.

Maybe the trans stuff really is collapsing. Go check out the various troon/troon-friendly reply guy snarling in response to the dunking on this image and you can see a lot of outrage that someone would dare criticize this garbage.
 
There've been other times where some stupid bullshit posted on social media made it under the radar for a few months before people picked up on it, like the Paizo guy calling Vance a fascist and saying he should return any Pathfinder books he owned. I think it was just random happenstance that people noticed it this time, or maybe because the last time was during pride month it was overlooked amidst the rest of the faggotry.

There are chaos beastmen nearby and they took over Cathay at one point. They’re described as being monkeys and tigers though.

Worse than that - WotC commissioned him to make the perverted, self-gratifying art so paypigs could pay extra to add a dogshit card to their trade binders

I think my brain keeps stalling out at the realization that this was an official card because God almighty why would you ever produce something like this?

I may not be a Magic player, but given my interests I easily could have been, and if this sort of shit had hit my hobby I would have dropped it like a hot rock even if I'd been playing 20 years. Awful.
