That being said Pozzo has seemingly allowed Owlcat some degree of creative liberty, even if it's just intended to increase homo/troon representation, so it's possible they would've let them include slavery regardless.

I have to assume it's some kind of moon logic like "Saying that a character with an elf father and human mother isn't actually an elf, and codifying that character as neither elf nor human by defining them as entirely separate from both in the PHB, erases the character's and player's agency in identifying with their preferred racial identity, which is exclusive and discriminatory, just like claiming a BIPOC with white parentage isn't actually a BIPOC, and is obviously racial erasure."

The problem with buying a currently supported product is people like to support the things they like.

That is, if you like 4e (3.5, or 3, or 2, or 1A or B/x) there is no pathway to give Wizards money for the product. PF2e is a currently supported product line people can find things to give Paizo (who hates them) money.

Also I meant in regards to playerbase. Most 5e players won't touch 4e because of the rep: They are posers, everyone says that 4e is yucky, so they don't look into it because they don't want to outted as a poser. Generally who plays 4e was least willing to think for themselves for a little bit and go against the grog.

That doesn't mean you're some hiveminder if you looked at it and didn't like it, but we're talking about keeping 5e genderspecials away from your table.

Anyway, you simp for PF2e and I think its terrible, and flipped roles for DD4e. We're not going to change the others mind, so lets not edition war.

Weird, right around the same time then. Kind of sucks if that's the last time they can write actually entertaining shit for my favorite autistic game system, if they do another pathfinder thing Paizo will probably crack the whip. You can sort of tell they tried to hide the forced troon stuff the best they could. They're doing rogue trader now anyway so I'm sure it'll work out.

To keep the post on topic, pf2e looks kind of cool. I'm tempted to dip my toe into it if my group doesn't want to powergame PF1 anymore. They seem to really like powergaming it though. That being said the action economy ideas they have make fighters look a little more dynamic, figuring out when to block with a shield etc.

Killed one of the little fuckers last session though, that'll learn em.

Adventurer Conqueror King System. It's like if you took B/X, tarted it up with a few of the better ideas from later editions, and added a helping of Traveler-style mercantile trade. It's dice-compatible with TSR D&D, i.e., you can drop in almost anything from that era and it will more or less work. The tone is sword & sorcery, and the content is free of preachy bullshit (neither right nor left, the world is just kind of a harsh place). Alexander Macris and his game are banned from even being mentioned on RPGNet.
