I think the major problem for me is that it lacks the charm of SU [KAYFABE OFF](random domestic violence, alcoholism, misogyny, homosexuality, Bartleby as an abusive lover, rape, Bartleby's abuse being perceived as perfect love, racist remarks about black "people" and other shades of brown people, everyone being pedophiles) [KAYFABE ON] I feel like as long as Tamers doesn't do like heavy emotional/relationship episodes, then the video will be a decent episode. And honestly that is my main gripe with the pony shit the relationship/gay pony episodes SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK because it is the antithesis of SU

Honestly, it's just that Tamers seemingly doesn't understand the relationship that made him successful. Bartleby and Sonic. It's a state of mind and writing, not a specific set of characters and I think that's finally hurting Tamers.
I think it's just cause no matter what, Bartleby and Sonics dynamic just can't be matched by anyone else Tamers tries to do it with. Sure you can try, but you're using the basic elements of the relationship without any of the 'sauce'. Bartleby and Sonics relationship was defined by literal years of events and Bartleby doesn't show off the same way others do. Bartleby doesn't show off through direct power exclusively, he shows off through otherworldly amounts of cash and spoils. Entire countries are bought and sold and to the Bartleby name and its a background event. The absurdity and the comedy comes from what Bartleby decides to do, like Code Banana or the trillion-dollar bill. Someone like Celestia doesn't do that as often and when she does it's less because she's richer than god it's because she is god. But Bartleby isn't only this all-powerful figure who buys and takes everything, he's a tragic hero who wants to connect with his poor as fuck bitch and his family. He's richer than god and that means he's all alone at the top. Celestia doesn't have that, she doesn't try and humble herself, she just is powerful with no desire to understand her bitch.

I guess he's finally and fully moved by money at this point. MLP can bring in patreonbux and Dandys World can bring in the YouTube shekels because dumb trendy kids game. To imagine that at the start of this year we had such high hopes as 'a return of SU' or even a single wholly-dedicated SU episode.

not going to shit on Tamers for chasing the sack; he deserves the money. I just would've prefered he made his fortunes with SU instead

Classic Uncle Al gives off similar vibes despite not falling into hyper-realistic territory.

not familar with al but this guy also does loose character arcs and referenced events. No shipping except what I guess is in character for the og cartoon?

Haven't watched him in awhile. Last I saw he got actual voice actors for some of the female characters which kinda sucked because I thought it was funnier that he just did his normal voice for them, but that might've been a one off thing or something I don't know. Funny guy though.

I mean I can't shit on Tamers for chasing the bag, but he's doing the same thing as DiC entertainment did. Sideline SU in favor of appealing to toddlers and poopy babies. There has to be a part of him that understands what he's doing but given the seeming avoidance of talking about the future of SU and is cryptic at best when it comes to his original 'franchise'. I can't fault the guy but goddamnit it's infuriating.
